On the outskirts of the Everfree Forest:
Trixie mumbled in annoyance as she opened the flap to her new travelling wagon. While not as fancy as her old wagon, this one being just a simple covered wagon, it at least was keeping the snow off of her. Still, that was doing nothing to keep the cold out, even with cape/cloak with some magical warmth enchantments. Once she got the money, she would have to go buy some winter clothes from…oh, what was that unicorn’s name again? The fashion one that she had turned her mane green. Meh, whatever, it would come to Trixie’s mind in time eventually. For now, she would just have to rely on her cloak and some blankets to keep her warm. That, and a fire…
After levitating out the blankets, Trixie brought out some of the wood she hadtakenborrowed from some of the nearby houses. Arranging them in a small campfire, she used her magic to start some sparks in hopes of catching fire. After several small blasts did absolutely nothing, Trixie gritted her teeth and took aim.
”Come on you stupid piece of wood, just burn already!”
This time, with a bit more force, she successfully started a small blaze that forced her to take a small step back. Satisfied, Trixie laid down on a blanket, covered herself up some more, and just watched the fire. Boredom quickly settling in, she thought back to some of the stuff she had in her wagon and decided to try and practice a little magic. Soon several glowing, wooden balls of varying weights were floating out of the wagon. With not much else to do, Trixie soon began to use her levitation magic to juggle the balls. This would probably keep her entertained for a bit.
Trixie was regretting not getting a room in a hotel to stay in. At least that way she’d be in town and with more options of entertainment. But her bits were scarce enough as it is, and she needed to save up to get a fully working wagon instead of just this simple covered one. And if she was going to get custom made winter clothes, well, that was going to be costly. Still, the peace and quiet was appreciated, and out here she could practice her magic all she wanted without having to worry about anypony interrupting her. Still, an audience would be nice…
