The gold stallion named Braeburn boarded the last train out of Ponyville. He seemed to be visiting the town of Ponyville a lot in recent times. This previous time he had shown up to participate in an event that was being hosted there. Normally if he had been on a trip he'd have stayed in town a bit longer, but spring was approaching. The weather back in Appleloosa was brightening up, and it was looking like he could get started on some projects he wanted to get done before the summer heat came along. Time spent working now could lead to time spent taking it easy when it would do the most good.
There wasn't much of a crowd in the train leaving Ponyville as there had been arriving, but that was to be expected. There was always a lot of traffic on and around Hearts and Hooves day, but not many ponies were going to be on their way out that night. Given that there wasn't that many ponies on board it meant that he had his pick of seats! With his pick of where to sit himself he could find himself a place to stretch out and get some sleep. Once he got comfortable the click-clak of the train wouldn't bother him.
The stallion looked around as he walked down an aisle to find himself a nice spot. Already he could see a few ponies stretching out or curling up on a bench to get comfortable, not everyone wanted to be seated upright. Suddenly something caught his eye. More specifically someone, or at least he thought so. What he thought he saw warranted a closer inspection. Braeburn stepped forward until he was close enough to confirm his suspicions. "Sweetheart, what're you doin' on this train?"
