Fluttershy could never escape the absence of the animals that hibernated or migrated during the winter. She couldn’t greet them in the morning or afternoon; she couldn’t hear them throughout the day. But, that wasn’t cause for alarm. When she began to grow lonely, she would think about all of the stories she would be able to hear once they were once again around for her to speak with. The knowledge that she would see each and every one of their faces as they told her all about their adventures in the South or the dreams they had while they were sleeping… It warmed her enough to stave off the cold winter air as she walked along the outskirts of the forest and toward Ponyville.
Her small assistant clung to her back, his small scarf lightly touching Fluttershy’s back every few paces as Angel held on. ”Not too much longer until all of your friends are done sleeping, Angel, you must be so excited,” She said happily as they continued. His response wasn’t quite as glee filled, as he was much too focused on getting his hands on the special dinner that she had promised him. All the same, Fluttershy could tell that he was looking forward to it. Despite their deep connection, Angel clearly appreciated having friends his own species, just as Fluttershy enjoyed having her pony friends. It was only the natural way of things.
”Alright, Mister, then make sure you keep track of that page so we don’t forget the recipe,” she chimed as they finally entered the marketplace. The pair didn’t attract much attention as they moved through the sparse gathering of ponies. That suited Fluttershy, as she didn’t want to disturb anyone going about their business. ”So what should we get first?” Her question was met with a flurry of page flipping, but the eventual answer was lost as she bumped into somepony, sending Angel enough forward that he grabbed onto the back of her head.
(The old staple of RP meetings, but featuring a rabbit!)
