Before becoming friends with Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy wasn’t one to go to parties. Even after that, she still wasn’t a party person. Parties were all about crowds, mingling and playing games that were supposed to be easy but actually were difficult. None of it spelled good things for Fluttershy. But it was very nice of Pinkie Pie to invite her and she had to repay that kindness by making sure she attended.
Since her job dealt with living creatures, she couldn’t simply walk out without making sure everything was in order, so much of her day had been spent getting all of her work done. After that, she had to hope that her current guests would be okay without her for a little while.
She didn’t remember meeting Pinkie’s sister in the past, so she was interested in doing so. Having no siblings of her own, she found it interesting how similar they could be while also being very unique.
Fluttershy paused at the door and took a deep breath before walking in. In her mind, the event had clearly become rather inflated. Despite any clues to the contrary, she had assumed she would barely be able to make it in the door or that there would be so many ponies inside even breathing would be difficult. But, she was happy to find that wasn't the case.
Without any attempts at interrupting, she moved to the outskirts of where her friends were gathered. She had arrived last out of all of them and so she could wait until they were done before trying to bother the pony of the hour.
