"Don't be ridiculous." Skye replied, trotting over with a puzzled expression. "Why would I hurt you? What have you ever done that..." the pegasus trailed off as she pulled up short, her demeanor changed in an instant. She eyed the stallion with a cold, stormy-grey gaze. "Unless..." she began slowly, "Was it you, then? Were you the one who got Octavia kicked out of the Fillyharmonic?" It seemed to make sense, at this moment. Considering the warm enthusiastic welcome from everypony else, The Stallion's sense of shame, his guilty retreat, and his craven babbling about 'not meaning it'...this all certainly sounded suspicious. And, to be quite honest, Fleet wanted him to be guilty. How nice it would be, if she could be alone in a dark hallway with one of authors of Octavia's misfortune. She might not be a fighter by any means, but she would love to demonstrate what a regime of harsh daily training could do to even a lightweight frame like hers. If only she could have a turn with some of those paparazzi, too. But alas, she was a Wonderbolt, even without her uniform. She couldn't just kick the crap out of some old stallion. Even if he was guilty. Even if he did deserve it. Besides, she could be wrong. He might just be... heck, she didn't know. He might be thinking of some other wrong he'd done. Or maybe she'd just scared the bejeebies out of him. And anyway, there were Octavia's feelings to consider. Octavia had seemed anxious, not angry, when she'd signaled her to chase the conductor down. Skye settled herself down at a slight distance, close enough to effectively keep him cornered, but not so close that she was threatening. "We'll just wait and see." she decided aloud. |
