#Personality ;
Photo Finish is very spirited and animated in conversation. Some may wonder how she doesn’t get Whiplash the way she speaks. She is also very hands on, and won’t hesitate to push a pony into the stance she wishes them to be while she takes her photos, or to drag them to different locals entirely.
However, behind the Camera, Photo Finish is very intense and focused, speaking only in short sentences to give the Model their pose changes or actions. This focus is hard to break for anything, and has gotten Photo Finish into clashes with the Taxi Wagons for standing in the middle of streets.
Outside of her work and whatnot, Photo Finish does care about her clients. "Ze unhappy ponies are not good for ze magicks." She would tell them, and help them through whatever they needed help with. Even if it did seem a little random and choppy in the way she explained things from time to time.
Everyone she comes into contact with has a potential as her next niche when it comes to her photography. From time to time, these obsessions with ponies only last a couple days, or until the magic wears off.
#History ;
Born in Germaney, Photo Finish lived with a family that didn’t have much. She worked hard for very few bits, and saved up for things she truly wanted. From candy to fizzy drinks, her purchases were made sweeter by how hard she worked for them.
One day, she happened to see a camera in the window of a store for 120 Bits! That was a lot more than the candy she usually saved up for, but she absolutely had to have it! She rushed off, doing whatever she could around town to earn a few extra bits. Days went by, Weeks went by, months went by. Finally, she had enough.
She walked into the store and proudly laid the bits out on the table, but the camera she had was already purchased by someone else, and the new camera on the market was another 50 bits more! The young filly was heartbroken, but the storekeeper thought for a moment, remembering he had an older camera in the back, one he didn’t even know if it still worked.
Photo Finish didn’t care, and bought the Camera for fifty bits, and immediately went out, shooting pictures with it. Pictures of her Mother, her father, her home, her neighborhood. Anyone who didn’t know better would swear the camera was glued to the Fillys face! Finally, after shooting the entire first roll, she took it to get the film developed, and the kind pony showed her how to do it!
The first picture they developed was one of her parents and sister, sitting around the living room. They looked happy, content with life, despite what little they had. Soon, a bright flash filled the room! She was scared for a moment, unsure of what happened, and the two quickly got out of the dark room, in case something was happening.
The young Filly found that, despite the rest of the film being destroyed from the door opening, a cutie mark that looked like a Purple and Black aperture had appeared on her flank! And the camera itself had a unique quality! This camera, being old with a few cracks here and there, let just a little bit of light filter in onto the film, creating streaks of lighter colors.
Soon, Photo Finish needed to see the world and capture it in her little box of memories. Her parents didn’t want to see her go, but they relented as the filly swore she’d write to them, showing them the Magick that she could capture with her camera.
And write them she did. Through her travels all over Equestria, pictures of structures filled her rolls of film, and she sent the Magicks, frozen in time, back to her family. Until she landed in Canterlot, where she started as a small time papparazzi, selling her pictures to local tabloids to get by.
Until one day, she got contacted by a local agency that wished to hire her. A small time thing for little pay, but it was progress! Progress that was almost stopped in its tracks by the photographers camera, which in Canterlot at this time was ancient.
She worked a deal with the agency for half the bits, and she used her camera, getting the pictures she could, and getting the money for a newer, better camera to further her career with… But she couldn’t just get rid of her old camera, so she carries her old camera to this day, using it to capture pictures for her personal albums, and to capture memories to send home to Germaney, using the New Camera for her Professional Photography.
And now, Photo Finish was one of the biggest names in Canterlot. From Models to Magazines, Photo Finish shoots 'em all. This leads to a lot of her free time being taken up, only scheduling herself enough time to sleep between shoots... sometimes.
All-in-all, Photo Finish keeps a pretty friendly relationship with her clients, because return business is always good. Even some of the most pain-in-the-flank models are in Photo Finish's return customer base...
From Time to Time, the Photographer takes a break from the glamour and pizzazz that Canterlot brings, and travels to smaller towns, seeking out the new and upcoming models, or even just to get the feel of home. This is what had brought her to Ponyville originally...
A Photoshoot with a Yellow Pegasus that ended with a most interesting show, that still ended in applause from the crowd. Even though several photoshoots were lined up, the Model walked out and left Photo Finish high and dry. She'd be willing to find said model and give her another shot, someday.The Roleplayer's Corner

Photo Finish moved through the streets of Canterlot. The sun had recently set, and the milling about of ponies was slowly coming to a halt. But that didn’t stop this Photographer, who crossed the town with purpose, coming up on a building and entering briskly. She worked her way to the front of the crowd, pulling out her old, almost broken, camera, and held it up.
Soon, the music started, and ponies in interesting dresses walked out, sauntering their ways down the catwalk and posing before getting barraged by flashes of light, and walking back. Photo Finish was one of those lights in the Barrage. Pony after Pony came through, and Photo Finish made sure to snap a few pictures of each of them.
Soon, the roll was full, and she quickly worked to change the film. She almost missed this pony… She was already walking back. Slapping the back of the camera closed, she rushed along, moving around ponies, trying to catch up with her. Suddenly, she slid on her Belly, turned, and clicked the Camera, getting a low angle shot of the Model just before she walked back into the back.
The pony she slid into looked down at her with a glare. The badge on his shirt barely reflecting the light from the catwalk. “What do you think you’re doing?” The pony asked in a gravelly voice.
Photo Finish looked back to the Catwalk, snapped a picture of the next pony as they walked past. “Capturing… Ze Magicks! Traurig, Herr” She said with a sheepish grin before she found herself being lifted up over the crowd and carried out. One last picture as she was levitated past the last Model. She had done it! She had captured the Magicks of each one! And she now knew the Magick of being thrown out on her flank… a painful magick that she wished to never feel again.
