As Trixie walked through the halls of Canterlot Castle, she found herself drowning in a mixture of different emotions and feelings. First, she was in Canterlot Castle, seat of power and home of the princesses themselves. Yet here she was being able to walk around in this majestic and awe inspiring place and be able to call it “home” because she, the Great and Powerful Trixie, had been picked by Princess Luna to become her personal student. To say that Trixie was excited would be an understatement; to say it had boosted her ego would be stating the obvious.
Despite her excitement, however, Trixie’s walk was more of a shuffle as she had to deal with the other major feeling she had; exhaustion. Moving in hadn’t been so bad; after all, she lived out of a small wagon so it wasn’t like she owned a lot of stuff. No, the exhaustion was coming from the most obvious implication of being the Princess of the Night’s personal student; she had to be up at night. Considering Trixie usually stopped travelling and settled down for the night during her travels, this was going to be a rather large adjustment for her. Even now she let out a major yawn as she walked, her hooves moving forward only on the energy provided by her eagerness to start her lessons with Luna.
Now she just had to figure out how to get to the Royal Library.
She had not yet had much time to explore the place and memorize, well, anything. Even now she doubted she would be able to tell you how to get to the library for Celestia’s School, and she went there for several years. Of course, that’s mostly because she didn’t really use the library per se, but still. Her pride, however, prevented her from asking a guard for help. She wanted to try and find it on her own no matter what.
Hopefully she could stay awake long enough to do so.
