Silver felt the bag that had had ice in it squish against his skin as he shifted it. It was melted. How long was he readig the book? It couldn't have been more than a couple minutes, he was still on the first page! He sighed, carefully carrying the bag of water over to the sink and emptying it before disposing of the plastic. He glanced past his door, to Sweethearts again, feeling something biting at his everything from deep inside. He paced for a few moments, ignoring the pain in his shoulder. She either read the note and thought he was lying, or she threw the note away and didn't want him talking to her. Either way, she didn't want him going over to her room and knocking on the door. So, Silver wasn't about to go over. He was going to leave Sweetheart alone and let her cool down. He was gonna let her plan his demise, and accept it for what he did. At least, that's what he was telling himself up until his body acted independently from the brain and knocked on Sweethearts door. A Gentle, yet firm knock to get her attention before he sat down and leaned against the door. "I know... Anything I say is probably going to go in one ear and out the other, because you don't want to hear what I have to say. Who can blame ya?" He started, staring toward his room and the table, which was still laying awkwardly against the side of the bed. "When... when I saw you turning blue... The only thing that I was thinking of was that you needed help. I'd seen some pony do that to help another, and just did what I saw. I know what it may have seemed like from your end, but I couldn't let you just..." He cut his sentence off and stared toward the ground for a few looooong minutes. "I'll just... Clear my things out of the inn... and let you continue on with your life..." He stood up shakily, taking a step back toward his room, before glancing at Sweethearts door again. "I'm Sorry..." With that, he returned to his room, gathering the few things he had in his bag, and started heading back for the busy streets of Canterlot, planning a route directly to the train station. |
