So, Hearts and Hooves, huh? In all honesty, Rainbow Dash didn't have a good history with the holiday. More than half of them Rainbow spent alone. When she was back in flight school, Rainbow had a crush on this colt. Of course, back in school, each foal was supposed to give out cards to everyone. Rainbow Dash had made his a little more special than all the other foals... Which meant of course he announced it to the class and made her a laughingstock for weeks. Bad enough her nickname had been Rainbow Crash. Then, there was the Junior Speedsters. That's probably where the teasing about being a fillyfooler started. Having rainbow hair and hanging out with Gilda all the time didn't inspire much evidence against that. Hearts and Hooves came. The daredevil pegasus spent the entire day locked in her room. Why? Some ponies started a rumor she was gonna 'come out' at the dance. So, fast forward a few more terrible Hearts and Hooves holidays and stop at the current one. Rainbow Dash frowned. Should she? She didn't know. This holiday had a high chance to end terribly for the pegasus. But, Fluttershy was worth the risk, right? She couldn't just not participate in the holiday dedicated to love. It was, like, a rule. Technically they weren't a "couple" couple, but that didn't mean Rainbow Dash couldn't go on a date during the holiday. Something was better than nothing. That something was something she put together in the last minute in hopes that that something would inspire something good between her and Fluttershy. Or something. Rainbow Dash peeked around the house and called out for the pegasus. "Hey, Fluttershy! I hope you don't have any plans for today." Geez, that'd be RD's luck for her to have plans that day. Not that most ponies put together plans on H&H. Other than those pathetic ponies who made Anti-H&H events. Seriously, who were they fooling? Lame lonely losers... She walked out into the living room, glancing about. "Cause I wanted to take you out for the holiday. Y'know, be festive and stuff with a date." That was Rainbow Dash. Romantic with a capital R. Wow, she was so great with words. |
