||| Malice Dragneel|||
(Art by QueenCold)
#Name; Malice. Although, usually goes by Mal or Mally. Much like her sister, she has taken Dragneel as a last name.
#Age Group ; Teenager
#Orientation; Bisexual
#Gender ; Female
#Species; Dragon
#Cutie Mark ; Not applicable
#Occupation ; Wanderer
#Powers and Abilities ; Much like her elder sister, Malice has inherited the ability to breath lightning instead of fire. Unlike her sibling, however, she has thanks to her stringent exercises and self control been able to perfect and better control her breath abilities. These allow her to control the distance, intensity, spread and a few other things to allow her to pull off tricks (For instance, breathing lightning balls). She is also an accomplished flier, capable of fast speeds and control in the air. Aside from her more analytical nature and knowledge of Equestrian laws, she has nothing else that regular dragons wouldn't normally possess.
#Physique ; She is thinner then her sibling, less toned and pronounced being instead more lanky. Her constant traveling and obsession with self control has allowed her to keep her weight under control, but has come at the cost of physical strength.
#Mane and fur color and style ; Her primary scale color is a faded black color, intermixed with splashes of sickly light green. Her spines are a lighter shade of grey, although some of her scales share this color. Interestingly for a dragon, she has been able to grow hair on her head. This hair is colored a slightly darker shade of green compared to the ones on her body.
#Eye color ; Yellow

#A more thorough description (optional) ;Feel free to use this area to describe your character in a more paragraph format if you have any additional details about the character's appearance you feel does not fit in any of the areas above.
#Personality ;
Despite her sinister name, Malice is anything but. Patient, quiet, polite and very slow to anger Malice is a peaceful dragoness that simply wishes to go about her daily life without hassle or problems. She works very hard to keep her draconic instincts and Greed under tight control, finding a regiment of various breathing, yoga, exercise, meditation and reading that works to make sure she doesn't indulge her draconic behavior too severely.
Malice is a big fan of philosophy, finding solace in the teachings of countless scholars and in the pages of books. She adores reading and, even when out and about, she can be found with her nose buried in a book. While usually a philosophical piece, she is not against other genres. Fantasy, horror, romance, non-fiction and countless others are all easy picking. She does have a disdain for comic books and it's off-shoots, finding them to be "Brain numbing garbage" in her opinion. She does have a soft spot for cook books despite not being the best cook, finding it a guilty pleasure.
The stringent lifestyle she leads has left her to be very socially blunt and almost humorless when amongst strangers. To most ponies and even fellow dragons, she will be a serious and well-spoken young lady that prefers to solve problems with logic and reason. She can't tell a joke to save her life, usually over-explaining a joke until the original intention of humor is lost. However, when amongst her elder sister Beatrice, she tends to lighten up slightly.
In spite of her difficulty to come to anger, she is not above sarcasm or snarky remarks if she starts to find someone too grating. However, she normally uses this mildly and in most cases this side only starts to emerge around her sister or someone who manages to push her buttons. If one ever succeeded in completely breaking her calm and making her truly enraged, it would cause the release of years of pent up anger and frustration and cause Malice to truly live up to her name.
#History ;Born among one of the Dragon settlements in the outskirts that housed, roughly, one hundred and fifty of her kind of various breeds Malice was a stand-out even among her own kind. Her species of dragon was a rare one. They were capable not only of flight but of utilizing the breath of lightning, when most races of dragon usually had access to only one. A final interesting aspect of her Dragon species was they did not possess a single uniform appearance: It was entirely possible for one dragon of her species to have one appearance, while another would be entirely different. This has caused many of them to be mistaken for other dragon species and also can make it difficult telling if two are even related due to how utterly different their appearances could be.
For Malice, she was born a year after her eldest sister Beatrice, taking more after her mothers appearance whilst her sister took after her father. Even from an early age she was more interested in learning of the world and stories then going hunting or showing off her strength. Her mother, surprisingly, nurtured these talents and her fondness for books due to having similar interests. Her strangely apathetic nature towards what many dragons would consider normal activities left her with few friends however, many finding her to be odd while some even saw her as weak. Even though she was more then capable of aggression, regularly getting into arguments with other dragons and able to trade insults with the best of her brethren, she was not viewed as being strong or capable as her sibling was.
Despite some aggravation and typical sibling rivalry, Malice was able to forge a close bond with her sister. Sure they fought on occasion, but it did nothing to diminish their bond or the fact they perfectly complimented one another's abilities. This lead to Malice earning a place in Beatrice's group of friends, effectively becoming the "smart one".
The good times came to an end, however, when Malice's mother came down with a disease known as Rot Scale. Leaving her bedridden, Malice did all she could to try to keep her mother comfortable and in the world of the living. Compounding the fact further was the fact Malice also had to look after their younger twin siblings during this time alongside her father, for Beatrice chose to flee the problem rather then face it. Abandoned by her sibling, she strove to keep things in order and nurse her mother back to health. Unfortunately, the only way to do so was to travel to Canterlot and find a rare herb. Sadly, the village had made a decree to keep as far away from Ponykind as possible on threat of exile. While Malice did make two attempts to flee, she was found and caught before she could get far, ultimately losing her parent.
For the next month, Malice as best as she could to keep the house in order. Their two youngest siblings were still too young to understand what had happened, whilst her father sunk into depression. One of the few bits of solace came from when Malice would go to the markets to barter, a talent she had managed to get quite good at. At the market was one hired hand called Flay, a dragon of such strength and magnificence in her mind that she fell for him at first sight. In retrospect, it was nothing more then a childish crush, but at the time she had fallen head over heels and he would be all she would talk about. Even the moments she caught up with Beatrices old group of friends she would talk at length about how wonderful Flay was to her. How one day he would choose her and they would be happy, just like in a fairy tale. Her friends quickly got sick of her going on and on about someone she didn't even have the guts to say hello to, even pointing it out on occassion she should just suck it up and talk to him, but Malice was too nervous of having the illusion broken and thus left herself content with fantasies.
Disaster struck again when her father picked a fight with a dragon much more capable then himself in the midst of his depression, breaking his wing in the process. Realizing she now had to sacrifice what little free time she had, Malices workload increased further until an unexpected thing happened: Beatrice came home and offered to help out. While initially rather cold towards her sisters return, Malice did not deny her the chance to help out and eventually found herself grateful. Beatrice helped care for father while she handled the day to day working of the homestead. It took some time for them to begin reconciliation: Malice had believed her sister had abandoned them, while the truth was actually far different yet Malice simply wanted to bury herself in work. It was one of these days that she received a letter addressed to her, from none other then her first true love himself. The letter detailed that he had always had feelings for her and confessed that he wanted to meet her at the markets at the end of the week. Positively giddy and happier then she had ever been, she spent the rest of the week composing a "Script" of sorts that could properly convey her feelings to her love and explain everything she loved about him. Beatrice helped to support her sister during this time, the two beginning to bond once again and the gap between them started to close. By the time the day came, Malice was fully willing to let her sister accompany her to see how it all went.
Malice ran right up to Flay and confessed immediately everything she had written, explaining in detail everything about him that she adored and that it was a dream come true. Unfortunately, Flay cruelly rebuffed her and laughed in her face, tearing her letter up before claiming she was insane if he thought he would ever be seen with her before returning to work. Her heartbreak was interrupted by Beatrices group, now Malices friends, coming over in the midst of giggles and laughter to explain the letter had been faked. They had gotten sick of her constant talking about Flay and, figuring she needed a reality check, they had set the rather cruel prank up. That would have been the end of it, Malice would have broken down in tears or locked herself in her room. But, something else gave way that day. The loss of her mother, her fathers injury, her sister abandoning her, having to care for a family and missing out on everything she should rightfully have been able to experience. All the stress, all her sorrow, and all her rage exploded in that moment as she begun her rampage in the marketplace.
While physically unimpressive and knowing little of battle, Malice had one thing that other dragons didn't: Her lightning breath. This, combined with her ability to fly and her furious state allowed her to inflict massive damage to the village and even let her floor dragons that would have taken her down in a heartbeat. In this terrible moment, she lived up to her species reputation as destroyers and rulers of the sky.
However, even rage has limits. Eventually, after coordinating with one another and using their superior numbers and capabilities, Malice was able to be taken down. Forcibly restrained and left under guard, the rest of the town convened to find out what had happened and what should be done with Malice. While the prank itself was chastised as thoughtless, Malice had done far too much damage to the village to allow her to get off unpunished. Brought before her people in shackles, Malice was given her judgement: She would be exiled from her home, never again allowed to return. Allowed only a few things of value and a goodbye to her family, Malice found herself alone in the wilds. She knew not how to hunt, nor how to forage and survive on her own. However, it seemed fate was not quite as cruel as it appeared.
A few hours into her trek, she was found by her sister Beatrice who took the time to explain why she had fled when their mother passed on: It had been sorrow for their mothers passing, not fear of responsibility, that had made her want to be alone. She also explained how important Malice was to her, which was why she had chose to join her in exile. Shocked by this revelation, Malice embraced her sibling and the wounds left by her departure were fully healed as the duo set off into a new world.
Both have come a long way since their troubled beginnings. They go from town to town, doing odd jobs when they come. Malice also found comfort in philosophers of the time, realizing she had to better control her impulses and emotions unless she let her anger grab hold of her again as it had before. She would control her emotions and dragon instincts, she had to if she hoped to keep peace with Ponykind and look after her sister just as she looked after her.The Roleplayer's Corner

The day was nothing short of marvelous. The sun shined brilliantly in the sky above, the clouds were parted and there was even a gentle breeze running through the area. It was why she was outside reading rather then inside: If it was a day as lovely as this one, it would be a shame to waste it by spending it indoors. Besides, her sister kept saying she needed to get outside more often.
Sitting in the shadow of a large oak tree, she sat back on the green and yellow lawn chair she had been able to purchase in her travels. It was rare to find one quite so large, let alone one capable of supporting the weight of a growing dragoness such as her or her sister. It had been a welcome find, even if it had cost her a pretty penny. But, she knew the amount of use she got from this piece of portable furniture would have been well worth the more expensive cost.
Flicking through the pages of the book, a guide on how to bake a variety of different cakes, she let out a content sigh. The page she was on had instructions on how to bake a cake that involved copious amounts of caramel and chocolate chips, something she was sure Beatrice would adore. She herself rarely partook in such things bar maybe single slices: She had to excercise self control in all areas, for if any one was lacking it would lead to something awful as it had back in their home.
The sound of wings and another landing in-front of her was enough for the Dragoness to know her sister had joined her, and as always she had asked about food.
"Ah, sister, you have arrived. What a shocking twist in my daily schedule." She chuckled."Get it? I said shocking, which has a double meaning: Both in the term shocking, but also because we can utilize electricity breathes. It is a most wonderful pun!"
