The Divided
In the crumbled days of tomorrow, the land will be divided among men into several factions. They live in separation, with prejudice towards one another. Some have joined in an alliance; some live in solitude. All have the same goal in life: Survival. With the wars that have raged through territories, much of the ancient buildings of past civilizations have been destroyed into rubble. Ruins of yesterdays, covering up the knowledge from the wandering eyes of curiosity. Many of the populations have made homes with what the ruins provided. Some live in warehouses and some underground. Most will rely on the valley for survival.
The smallest of the groups is a town called Nellis. It’s a docile place with a population of roughly 150. The town is made up of an air base that was used in the wars of 106 ATF (After The Flash.). This town isn’t anything special, but it holds one of the largest caches of ammunitions and weapons, along with two other cities. Their governing body is of a council, the Seven Sages. They are wise, almost all knowing. They care for their people and their people care for them. They have tried to keep neutral in most of the wars, but they struggle with most of their neighbors playing a tug of war with their alliances.
In the East, there is Megaton, a city of metal and industry. They’re populated mainly by scavengers and forgers in buildings surrounding a steel mill factory. The mayor and head of the factory is pretty stubborn and ruthless. He ordered workers to build a great wall around their city to keep the disturbances of the other factors out. Though it’s been torn down once before, they’ve made some major improvements on their project. After finishing, the city was virtually impenetrable.
A slightly larger town made from the remains of what used to be a missile silo, rests underground west of Nellis. Silo 48 is one of the most technological populations in The Great North Valley, mostly relying on scientists and engineers to keep it running. Most projects they’ve had success with involve fertilizing soils, recreating machines of transport, and a circulating rumor about energy weapons. They consist of two leaders: a foreman, which is like the record keeper and instructor, and an overseer, who is top authority power. One achievement that they’re not too proud of, is almost destroying half of the valley after rearming a warhead.
To the north of Nellis are the Black Mountains, which has three territories that overlook the valley. The three work together with three separate operations: Mining, geology, and providing radio stations for the valley.
