Breaker had to admit that even if it was to truly comfort the anxious mare, she was quite enjoying the view of the cute mare blushing at being snuggled. Everypony was winning in this situation it seemed. It seemed to be working too as Catchfly was no longer hiding her face behind those bangs. Not that Star Breaker minded the bangs. It had a nice appeal somewhere between edgy and cute that worked well with her anxious appearance.
”Oh relax, I get it. New town, unfamiliar surroundings, not the greatest welcome. Easy to get kind of overwhelmed by it all. Just relax: Breaker’s gonna take good care of you,” she said, chuckling with a smile that showed off her fangs quite well.
It was good that she liked the idea of a market stall. Permits weren’t too hard to get, and she believed there was space in some of the market areas around here. It would just be a bit hard to get her stock and supplies up here. Her apartment was pretty small, so there wouldn’t be a lot of room to store stuff. Probably would need to get a storage locker if she needed space.
”Yep, that sounds about right. Hearts and Hooves Day is probably the biggest day I ever see flowers and chocolate around here, except maybe Nightmare Night for the latter. And market spots are usually on every guard route so you don’t have to worry about being unprotected.”
Since it seemed by now Catchfly was calming down, Star Breaker gently let go of her with her wings and proceeded to get off the bench. As she did, she took the opportunity to stretch her back, forelegs on the ground and hindlegs still on the bench. She felt almost like a cat, but it sure felt good on her back. After hearing a satisfying crack, she fully got off the bench and waited for Catchfly to join her.
”Hey, it’s no problem. As a guard, it’s my duty to make sure every citizen is taken care of. You just looked like you needed more of a personal touch,” Breaker replied.
”Anyway, that sounds good to me. Sure you wanna know a bit more about me as well, make sure I’m not some loony or whatever. Then again, I guess if I was, wouldn’t be a good guard would I?”
Star Breaker laughed before starting her walk again.
”So, first question then. What made you want to move to Cloudsdale anyway? As I said not a lot of bat ponies up here so always curious when I see another.”
