"No, there aren't any talented Unicorns with an affinity to water in my family that I know of. I'll ask my dad next time I visit home. He might know. Either way I'd love to meet her sometime." It didn't take much to get Twilight interested in talking to another magically gifted Unicorn, but one that looked exactly like her? She had to meet this mare eventually. "You need books Trixie? Oh I can get you books. What kind do you need to replace? Magical, Historical, Educational? Fiction, non-fiction?" Her horn lit up as she pulled out a pen and paper to take notes.

"Figured as such, but it was such a weird coincidence I figured I should at least try and see if there's a connection." Trixie said as she got herself comfortable in her seat.
Trixie started feeling a little worried when Twilight brought out that list. What kind of pony brought all that stuff just out on her own? More importantly, Twilight really seemed eager about it. It was a little scary.
"Er, really, not necessary. Dewdrop Dazzle, that's the unicorn's name, is the one who owes me the books. At least the super rare book on aroma illusions was okay...it was mostly just some standard magic books, a copy of the new Daring Do, that sort of thing."
Twilight tensed as there was a mentioning of a rather rare book. She was bracing herself for the worst. A rare book on magic had been involved in this watery incident, who knows how much knowledge had been lost. Even if another copy could be tracked down and the pages copied, there was always something intangibly different about a book between an original production and a copy. The Unicorn relaxed when Trixie said it was okay. That was a relief.
She placed her hooves on the table and suddenly look at Trixie intensely and in a flat voice asked her, "You like Daring Do?"

Wow, Twilight really took her books seriously, didn't she? Trixie could feel the tension come off her like a heat wave till she told her the book was fine. Though she didn't exactly expect her to get such a cold look when she mentioned that she read Daring Do.
"Uhm, yeah, I do. Gives me something to read when I'm on the road and it's pretty good."
If anything, honestly, she probably had read the Daring Do books more than her actual magic books. Well, in terms of "books she voluntarily reads". Though since she started apprenticing with Luna that wouldn't be the case for long.
There was a high pitched squeal from Twilight, an almost uncharacteristically fangirlish squeal that was accompanied by a big grin. "Isn't it like the best book series ever? she proclaimed. "Okay, maybe objectively it may not be the best, but it should be very high up there. Subjectively though it's the best!" Twilight clapped her hooves together with excitement. Trixie had once again opened a door that might easily be shut. "Oh do you have a favorite side character? What about a favorite book? How far are you? I don't want to give out any spoilers~"

Trixie's ears bent down to try and block some of the fangirlish squeal from Twilight. Yep, Twilight was definitely a big fan of the series with a level of excitement that actually scared Trixie just a little. Not that she wasn't used to adoring, excited fans of course...okay, that was selling herself a little much. But someday she'd have these type of squeals aimed at her. For now, just deal with the book fanatic getting the chance to talk about a book.
"Uh, well, haven't gotten a chance to get a new copy of the new book. Was gonna get one once this spell wore off. Other than that, pretty caught up on it. I presume you've got them practically memorized though?"
Twilight Sparkle bit her lips when Trixie said she hadn't even opened up the latest book. That was about the ultimate tease. She had to remind herself that not everypony waited in line for the first release of the book, then teleported home, didn't sleep until the book was finished, and then woke up to read the book again looking for deeper subtext. No spoilers though. Twilight wasn't going to be that mare. She'd have to talk to Trixie in the future to see when she had read it. Better idea! Maybe she'd like to come over for a sleep over to read the book! That could be so fun!<br><br><b>"Who, me? Nooo I don't have them all memorized, just most of them. Half though if you only count the main series and not the various short stories that have been released."</b>

"...yeah, you're a total nerd," Trixie replied, laughing a little at Twilight's obvious denial that really wasn't a denial,"But don't worry, I got a new book ordered and probably waiting for me at the castle by the time I get back. Just gotta get the time to read it and you can barrage me with whatever you want to talk about. If you haven't exploded in waiting by then."
Now that they were all settled in at the cafe, a waiter finally arrived to take their order.
"I'll have some water and a sandwich with the soup of the day please," Trixie said, just going with something simple. Didn't exactly feel like a big meal...and might just get some of their pastries later. Had to save room for that.
Twilight laughed along with Trixie. There was no denying it, and she knew the temporary Alicorn didn't mean any malice from the word. She greeted the waiter with a smile and a nod and let Trixie order first. "I'll have the same, but with an unsweetened iced tea, please." That didn't sound too bad. A little bit of everything without it being a several course meal.
"I promise I won't explode. Excitable as I can be sometimes, I can wait. Just... don't let Rainbow Dash know. As soon as the release date for the next book is announced she literally counts the days."

[[OOC: Just to note, Trixie met RD & Twilight back when Snow and someone else played Twilight so working with that in mind ]]
"Rainbow Dash? Oh, right, that pegasus friend of yours with the, uh, rainbow mane," she replied "Yeah, I remember her. Didn't take her for the reading type but I guess it makes sense she would like Daring Do from what little I've seen of her...
With their food ordered and drinks quickly brought out, Trixie silently sipped on her water as she thought about what to do next. Only so long they could talk about Daring Do...well, actually, seemed Twilight could talk a lot. But Trixie felt that conversation would be a little one-sided.
"So uhm, hey...what was it like studying under Princess Celestia? I mean, I know her and Luna are different but just kind of curious what I might be getting myself into if I'm really committing to this whole 'apprentice' thing."
