"Well, honestly....I was just planning on keeping up with my shows. Maybe a more permanent position in Canterlot, but still on the show thing."
Of course, for all that, Trixie's mind did think about that time she imagined herself as an alicorn princess. Part of her still kind of was intrigued by the idea, but she was trying to make a good impression here and going 'I wanna be an alicorn' seemed a little much."
"But anyway, we really shouldn't spend all evening talking about me. What is it you've got plans to do?"
Her mind went to the scent of coffee and wood dust, and her eyes softened and looked to the side. "I'm afraid that comparatively, I'm not quite ambitious. I am a professional musician, so to an extent that's one dream well and being concurrently fulfilled. I also work in the family shop where we make and otherwise work on violincello instruments. It's rather lovely and peaceful as work goes, and I anticipate that a day will come when I'd simply wish to continue as I already do into the future. Perhaps time may see me simply married and teaching my children the craft, and if so, I suppose that I wouldn't be inclined to complain."

"Well, I mean, I guess that's good too."
Trixie rubbed the back of her neck just a little. She had honestly never really thought about kids or anything like that. Maybe it would be neat to have someone to teach her tricks to but, well, that's what apprentices are for...she'll push that thought aside before starting to apply it to her and Luna.
"No concerts as such, I'm afraid. The amount of orders at the shop is rather high, and I'd like the proper amount of time to tend to those, so for at least this month, I'll be focusing on my work there. Though I'm certainly no star of the symphony, there is a certain satisfaction to seeing more and more of the musicians come to me for their instruments and work. While I won't be seeing much performance this month, at least my work will." She shifted her weight to the other side of her hip as she sat.

"Well, I guess it's good that business is good then," Trixie replied. Sure, running a shop seemed a little less glamorous than performing a concert, but she probably really shouldn't say such things. Besides, not like running a shop was bad just, well, not something she was into that much.
Fortunately, with the arrival of the waiter and their food, there was definitely something worth her interest arriving! She had to hold back metaphorically drooling as her eyes, shining with anticipation, looked over the oatburger. It definitely didn't look like the simple, greasy mess that one got at a fast food place but a well crafted and cared for piece of oat. And a very generous piece at that, sided with pillowy mounds of mashed potatoes.
"Thank you, it looks delicious," Trixie said to the waiter, making sure to be polite and all that as she levitated the mug of cider. It was still a little frothy and still had that crisp smell of apple. Taking a sip of it, she set it down with a smile.
"Never been much of a wine pony; much prefer an apple cider."
Octavia gave the waiter a warm nod to compliment what Trixie said, then a pleasant sigh at the sight of the steaming mashed potatoes, peppered and cheesed, next to sautéed chunks of baby potato, carrots and corn with a veneer of butter, then even gave a smile to the hot, mulled cider, the steam thick with the delicious danger of a loss of faculties. “Different drinks for different moods and needs, I’d wager. Wine suits subtlety of purpose, lets one have some semblance of deliberation and romance when it takes hold, while this … this drink is the stuff of sweaty, blushing laughter and barroom brawls, all that a charm I will avoid by entertaining only a single serving.” She held a large fork in the crook of her foreleg and took a bite from the mashed potatoes, giving yet another smiling sigh.
