Rules Enforcement
The rules posted above will be enforced based upon the severity of the issue, what kind of issue, and any prior history of issues. In general, you can expect it to go something like this if the issue is one of the General Site Rules (which would be the most serious breaches of the rules):
This is the standard enforcement pattern, but it may change based on the seriousness of the issue involved.
- Please show respect for all members of the site.
- Don’t plagiarize or steal art, profiles, etc. from other sites or players; only use with permission of the original creators.
- My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic is a clean series. Using the RPG-Rating System, our site allows:
- Infrequent and mild swearing is allowed. So this means the occasional swear word in dialogue and such is fine, but a giant swear-word laden rant is out of the question.
- Mild sexual innuendo and references permitted. No explicit representations or references to genitalia or sex acts. This means, for example, flirting with sexual undertones is fine but describing out a sex scene is out of the question. Please refer to Proboards TOS for more information.
- Mild violence is permitted. Explicit descriptions of violence is not allowed. Hoof fighting is allowed, but intense gory fighting with the risk of death or serious injury is not allowed.
[/ul]Character Rules
- One account per character. So any time you wish to make a new character you must make a new account. This applies even if you wish to drop one character and make a different one.
- The number of characters you can have is limited by a soft-cap of 5 characters. You can have up to 5 characters without restriction. Afterwards your level of activity with existing characters will be accounted for in approving any more characters.
- Follow the character template that is in the Character Application board. Small modification is allowed.
- Face claims are optional, but if used, please use anime/animated/cartoon face claims.
- Activity checks occur on a monthly basis. You are required to either post a link to at least one post by each character you have in the activity check by the end of the month or a link to an absence thread.
- Please inform us of any absences of a long duration to ensure your characters will be exempted from activity checks.
- If there has been no notice of an extended absence, an account, whether OC or canon, is free game for deletion if it has been inactive for the majority of the month when accounts are deleted at the end of every month. Content will not be removed, however, only archived.
- If a player has returned after their account has been deleted, and no one has taken the character in the case of canons, they are free to remake their account and their profile will be returned from archives.
- If there has been no notice of an extended absence, an account, whether OC or canon, is free game for deletion if it has been inactive for the majority of the month when accounts are deleted at the end of every month. Content will not be removed, however, only archived.
- Please inform the staff of any changes made to profiles after approval.
Roleplaying Rules
- Please avoid engaging all the basic problems of bad roleplaying such as, but not limited to:
- Godmodding
- Powerplaying
- Metaplaying (even if you're Pinkie Pie)
- Godmodding
- No one liner posts as they make it difficult for other players to respond to.
Posting Rules
- There is an expectation that posts will have minimum grammatical and spelling errors.
- Please keep graphics no larger than 500x500 pixels.
- You are allowed to have your characters in multiple threads at the same time.
Rules Enforcement
The rules posted above will be enforced based upon the severity of the issue, what kind of issue, and any prior history of issues. In general, you can expect it to go something like this if the issue is one of the General Site Rules (which would be the most serious breaches of the rules):
- A warning from staff over PM or other form of contact.
- A second warning from staff
- A temporary ban (length determined by issue)
- Permanent ban
This is the standard enforcement pattern, but it may change based on the seriousness of the issue involved.
