||| CRUNCHER |||
#Name; Cruncher
#Age Group ; Adult
#Sex; Male
#Gender ; Male
#Species; Diamond Dog
#Cutie Mark ; Looks just like fur... strange, huh?
#Occupation ; Unemployed, but previously a contractor
#Powers and Abilities ; Cruncher is an incredibly strong Diamond Dog. His massive size and teeth give him quite a bit of "charisma". Due to his mother, he also knows sign language.
#Physique ; Cruncher is rather average on the height scale of a Diamond Dog, but he's massive in the muscular portion of it. He's also got a rather large muzzle of extremely sharp teeth.
#Fur color and style ; Cruncher's fur follows that of a Doberman, being black for the most part, with brown accents to it. It's rather dirty, and has knots in it from lack of care.
#Eye color ; Yellow
#Other appearance details (optional) ; Cruncher wears a red vest, and a black collar with green spikes circling it.
#A more thorough description (optional) ;Cruncher is built to be big and stocky, but, he's rather wide for most doors. His eyes are rather narrow, because he doesn't have the best eyesight. His ears are pointed, and stick up most of the time, unless he's depressed. Cruncher has a short tail, that's often wagging. He has a rather large scar on his neck, that he keeps hidden with his collar.
#Personality ;
Cruncher is an animal, in more ways than one. He takes a lot of traits from his more feral brethren; he prefers the feral ways than attempting to become more civilized. That sounds as if Cruncher had a choice in the matter. His upbringing, his history, and his brutality led to him being a rather exemplary example in the idea of de-evolution. He's more or less a large dog that can talk. But, don't try and whack his nose with a newspaper.
Cruncher doesn't take criticism well. He acts on impulse, so he gets in trouble quite a bit. When ponies try and tell him what he did wrong, he either doesn't care, or argues that he was in the right. But, if Cruncher actually realizes he did something wrong, he'll apologize. Cruncher doesn't realize a lot of what he does is wrong, so it's hard for him to understand when it happens.
It has only happened a few times in Cruncher's life, but every now and then, the Diamond Dog will see someone, and imprint. Suddenly, he adores this lucky or unlucky recipient, and does whatever he can to please this recipient, even if they don't want him to. If somebody tries to wrong this person, Cruncher will make it very clear this is a wrong course of action. VERY. CLEAR.
Cruncher is rather basic in his needs. He doesn't care for frivolous things, unless someone he imprinted upon does. On his own, he simply finds necessesities: shelter, warmth, and food. The only time he breaks this, is for gems. Those shiny little rocks please Cruncher to no end. Often, he'll get a gem, and simply bury it somewhere. He always manages to find it when he needs it.
Anger is scary with this Dog. He's quick to take offense to things, quick to argue, and quick to respond to a threat. But, none of that compares to when he sees blood. As soon as he smells blood, or sees it, Cruncher loses it. He flies into a rage that is incredibly difficult to quell, and attempts to smash anything in sight. It takes quite a bit for him to calm down, even resisting law enforcement with all his might, but if someone can knock him on the head with enough force, that seems to do the trick. Once his anger subsides, he can't remember what occured at all. To Cruncher, it's a red haze.
Cruncher isn't the sharpest tool in the shed. Or the sharpest tack in the drawer. Or the brightest bulb in the bunch. He's not intelligent. Often, when he attempts to use a smart word, and fails on pronouncing it, he becomes quickly frustrated, and resorts to a short word. He's frustrated by his own stupidity, but he has accepted that he is stupid, and thinks that will never change.
Cruncher has a strange quirk about griffons. He refers to them as chicken cats, and enjoys their very presence. They don't need to like him, he just wants to be around them. He loves hugging them, and learning about chicken cat things. Don't question his motives. Seriously, don't. He takes offense, for some reason.
#History ;
Cruncher was born on the road. His mother had been banished from living with the other Diamond Dogs, so they lived on their own. But, his mother was mute. It was incredibly difficult for Cruncher to learn how to talk and learn with a mother who couldn't talk back. He had to focus on whomever they came across, and learn what little he could from them. He learned how to communicate with his mother, and how to communicate, somewhat, with passing travelers.
They tried, repeatedly, to settle down, but his mother couldn't find much work being mute. And then, when their luck seemed no worse, she got sick. Cruncher had no idea what to do. He panicked, and went to the closest city. He begged, as best he could, for them to help his mother. By the time they were able to figure out what was wrong with her, she had slipped into a coma, and Cruncher had no funds to keep her going... He left.
Cruncher was a young pup, alone and scared in the wild. He had no idea if they were keeping his mother alive, and he didn't know if he wanted to find out... He shut himself off from society, and lived alone. He moved from cave to cave, gathering whatever jewels he could, and kept going. Then, he moved to a pony city, and tried finding work. He was unsuccessful for a long time. He got into a fight when he saw some street punks messing with a mute pony. He ended up going to prison for seriously injuring a few of them.
Cruncher kept up his physique, while in prison. He worked on it as much as he could. Cruncher wasn't much for conversation, so he put all his time into it. When he was finally released, he looked for work. And, finally, a construction site took him on. He started out simply moving bags of sand, or bricks, but he kept at it. Regardless of his iffy speech and intellect, his hard work reflected to his superiors, and he was trained to do more and more. It took him many years, but he finally became a contractor. Cruncher was happy, for once.
And then he received a letter. His mother had woken up from the coma, but she was still sick. Cruncher dropped everything, and left. He traveled back to that city, and went to the hospital. Apparently his mother had a secret group of gems, and the hospital used them as payment. Cruncher stayed with his mother for days, until her situation became critical. They moved to do surgery, and Cruncher insisted he watched. His mother died on the operating table. Cruncher saw the end result, and lost it. He pushed any doctor in his way aside, and cared not for anyone in the way. He left the hospital.
When Cruncher came to, he was in a field, alone. Cruncher wandered, again. He didn't want to go back. Anywhere. He needed something new.
Cruncher hoped he'd find somewhere to settle... Somewhere nice...The Roleplayer's Corner
#Nickname ; Snow
#Age ; 17
#Sex and Gender ; Male, last time I checked.
#How did you find us? ; I hired Liam Neeson. 'nough said.
#Sample RP ;
A black nose poked around the corner. It sniffed three times, and froze. The nose inched forwards, slowly revealing a feral yellow eye. Food... Cruncher hungry... Cruncher smelled it. Cruncher saw it. All Cruncher needed to do was get it. Cruncher was so close to the food... He just needed to move his paw forward... so slowly... coming closer and closer... Cruncher swiped the food, and ran. "H-Hey! That's mine!" Cruncher scarfed down whatever he had just taken, and kept running.
---
Cruncher laid on his back in the grass, and rolled around. Nothing like relaxing in a field, according to Cruncher! Cruncher was not hungry anymore, so Cruncher was happy. Pony was not happy. Cruncher took the pony's food... Cruncher needed a job. That way, he didn't have to make the pony unhappy. "Cruncher need job. Cruncher could contract. Ponies need stuffs built. Cruncher happy to help. Cruncher need to find pony need contractor. House stuff... Construction site? Marke-Mark... Markend? Markon... Marke...t? Market? Market! Cruncher need find out." Cruncher looked around. Five more minutes. Then Cruncher could look for work.
---
"Why not?" "Because you're a thief!" "Cruncher sorry Cruncher took food. Cruncher was hungry!" "So was I!" "Cruncher sorry!" "Sorry doesn't cut it!" Cruncher's ears lowered. Why did Cruncher have to take this pony's food? Construction site was out of the question now... Now all Cruncher had was the market. Cruncher not have good luck. Cruncher hope luck get better. Cruncher no want steal. Cruncher have to go prison again... Cruncher no want to go back. Cruncher want job. Cruncher want bits. Cruncher want... food. Cruncher hungry. Cruncher began following his nose away from the construction site, and off towards the market... Hopefully Cruncher wouldn't ruin another opportunity.
