This is a peacefuly looking world. A place where the flowers grow to the distant horizon in every direction. On a quick look one could imagine there were a million different species of flowers growing here. Trees dotted the area though. The flowers hwoever were growing about Celestia chin high. Pollen rained down as each stem was touched, though not enough to do more than a sneeze and that's if the pony stopped immediatly after touching the stem. The two were not alone in this majestic garden however. The quiet was only broken by the sounds of scittering and buzzing insects going from flower to flower. Red diamond backed beetles ate happily of the stems and smile to the little buffalo as she passed. It seemed like an ideal place to fall asleep, if one liked flowers. It was definitly quiet. Maybe just a little too quiet...
Strongheart hadn't ever seen such a place, but this was a dream, so she doubted she ever would see anything like this again. The buffalo had advanced dream magic when compared to most ponies, so of course she made sure she was involved in helping recover ponies from their unending sleep. Unfortunately this wasn't something she could just wave a dream catcher at. This was a lasting curse like spell.
"Hello?!" she cried out, wondering if her target was near as she trudged through the field. She occasionally sneezed, but for the most part she simply ran so the pollen would never reach nose level before she was gone. She went to the nearest tree, fast as could be. She needed a birds eye view of the field if she ever wanted to find the pony she was looking for!
"HELLO!" The sweet, almost childlike, obnoxiously loud voice belonged to a Bumbleebee yellow mare's head that poked out from the flowers right next to Little Strongheart's head. Her face had the biggest girn any pony could see outside of Pinkie Pie. She buzzed out fo the flower are to rest in front of the buffalo. The pegasus's wings were moving...fast...Her hooves had a few insects crawling over them.
"How are you doing? I'm HoneyCrisp! Welcome to my dream. Isn't it a lovely dream? It's filled with flowers and bugs that go on forever and ever and ever and ever and ever! There is even an ocean. You've ever been to the ocean? The ocean is bright and blue and wet. It's like Super Duper wet. Almost like it is filled with water. Oh yeah it is filled with water. And fishies. So many swimming fishies." Honeycrisp then proceeded to make a fish face and float a circle aroudn the buffalo.
Buffalo ears were not Batpony ears, but they were still rather impressive. While Strongheart couldn't echolocate her ears were still quite acute. She wished they weren't though. The mare she that had just talked to her was loud. She winced a bit before weakly smiling at the mare. She knew it was a dream? Why was she staying here then? "I'm doing great...I haven't been to the ocean though." A quick look at the mare made it obvious that she wasn't bothered by the wilderness. She embraced insects readily...even in this dream. Odd. Her wings were also rather odd, Strongheart was pretty sure that wasn't how they were supposed
"My name is Little Strongheart. I was sent here to get you out of this dream." she said, suddenly resolute. The mare seemed happy, Little Strongheart had been expecting something a bit less....ecstatic. How was she going to convince this mare to leave if she was here willingly?!
Seeing the buffalo not take her natural speaking voice too well she decided to set it to inside voice. Hovering in front of her she looked to her and got a little to close when locking eyes. "Sorry. I forget that my voice is a little too loud for most. I'm HoneyCrisp and there is no way I'm leaving my world. I can fly freely. I can Talk. I can sing. <Row row row you boat gently down the Strreeeeeaam!~>" Sure she could sing, she just wasn't very good at it. In fact if any glass was around it was probably broken or it ran away in fright from the horrible sounds that could not possible contain any notes.
She moved to a flower and bumped her flank against the stalk. A large seed fell down and cracked in half. There is Food. Fun little critters. And lots of places to explore. It's like I'm a foal again. The only thing that's missin is a companion to talk with." She looked a little sad for a moment then a bright idea popped into her head. She instantly flew over and huged the Strong one.
"You! You can stay her with me forever and be my conversation partner!"
Strongheart's ears pinched themselves to her skull. She barely stopped herself from wincing and, instead, did her best at a smile towards the, obviously, excited young mare. Strongheart was sure all she would need is some practice...er, a lot. "But...you know this is a dream, right?" she said, slightly confused, stepping forward.
"I can't stay here forever because eventually I will wake up...and I was sent here to wake you up. You shouldn't be asleep, not for this long, you're in trouble! You can't actually eat, or drink, or walk around...and everything here, other than me, is you." Strongheart got more resolute as she spoke, ending quite stubbornly. "So...I'll be leaving soon and...then you'll have no one to talk to, so...you'll always be missing your companion!" she thought had a good thing going on this line of conversation.
"So...uh, we should go!...do you know how?"

"No. I don't wanna." With that the mare darted off into the flowers and started to fly away. The flowers seemed to get a bit thicker in the path she went. The sky even started to grow dark. Pollen falling in her wake.
....What?!? Strongheart stood still for several moments, stunned. She couldn't just walk away!..er, fly away. Strongheart had just given a bunch of good reasons to come back and this mare was just...just ignoring them?!? "W-wait!" Strongheart cried out, running after the mare, not failing to take notice of her darkening surroundings. Something had changed.
She needed to get in the air! Most would probably just start flying, but Strongheart much preferred her hooves on the ground, plus the spirit doctor of her tribe had talked about dreams quite a lot. She knew that if she flew here she'd probably be left always wanting a taste of it again, then SHE might end up the one sleeping for days and days, waiting for someone to save her.
The ground rumbled and shook as a large and continuous ramp of rock brought her up to where Honey Crisp was "You can't just run away!!" Strongheart said. She didn't really have a reason, she just couldn't let the mare escape!! "HoneyCrisp. Please help me help you!"
Once above the flower line, the sky was more obvious dark, though it as dark red. A giant red Diamond hovering where the sun should be. There was movement below. Trembling flowers that gave away the honey mare's location and path. However that was not all. Ontop of the monsterous flowers were giant insects looking at the little buffalo. And they looked hungry.
Honey Crisp was crying down below in the flowers. She didn't want to go back, she didn't want to be silent again. She didn't want to be the allergen epicenter. She just wanted to play with her friend, sing, dance, and be as loud as she wanted. And in this reoccurring dream, she could do all that. And this time, it didn' just end, she could be here as long as she wanted apparently. How could she just give that up?
That...wasn't the sun. She wasn't sure why that was surprising, but it was. It didn't feel right. The sun only kept her attention for moment though. There were much more pressing matters at hand. Namely, the giant bugs she was looking at. Then, of course, there was still the matter of convincing the mare who made this dream that she should leave. Strongheart had foolishly believed the mare would want to leave just because this was a dream.
"Uh...I wish you no harm? Can you take me to the mare who just came through her?" she said to the bugs. Maybe they were friendly! Probably not though, so she stopped her rising mountain of rock and stood still for a moment. "can you talk?" Sure that was a weird question to ask a bug, but this WAS a dream. Strongheart was ready for anything!
As the beetles crawled closer, it was aparent that they were either incapable of talking, or had no interest in talking with food. Seriously how many ponies talk to their muffins? Well there are those two ponies in Ponyville , but they are more the exception rather than the rule. As they climbed onto the easily accessible and conviently placed earthen ramp, they fell into one problum. It was amde for a young buffalo, which these beetles were bigger than, so more than one trying to get on it, lead to some fights.
Honey had crawled into a fallen flower stalk by this time. She feared nothing in this dream. Insects were her friends, she even slept on the backs of spiders, but the little buffalo was terrifying because she sought to end this dream. She curled up. "No no no. I can't go back to the real world. What if i can never come back to this dream? What if I those diamonds take away this forever. I don't know what to DO!"
Strongheart's ears flattened as she smiled hopelessly "good...bugs?" she then quickly jumped off her platform, skidding down it's steep edges until coming to a tumbling stop at the bottom of the tower. She recovered quickly, no time to rest after all, she had giant beetles on her tail!
"Honeey!?! Honey Crisp. I would really appreciate it if you could tell me how to stop these bugs!" she cried out, having no idea where the mare had run off to. "I really could use some direction" she said halfheartedly, flinching right afterwards as she heard a rustle in the stalks. Had the beetles followed her? "I need to find her...what can I do...." she said, in an awfully big hurry. She looked up, seeing only leaves, then tried to imagine something useful. Er, a umbrella? That wouldn't do anything!! A sword? She probably wasn't gonna cut through their shells. What had she seen that might actually be helpful?...."Aha!" she yelled, thinking hard and making a large hamsterball appear around her.
She had seen one in Ponyville and her first thought had been how fun it might be to be in one! Now she had her chance, even if it was in a stressful situation. Hopefully this would keep the beetles off her, or even off her trail! Strongheart ran forward clumsily, getting used to her ball. It wasn't easy to navigate with, but it still was nifty "Honey?! Where'd you go?"
