Even in this over-inked noir nightmare of a dream, Sugarcube Corner was still the brightest and most distinctive building in the neighborhood. The dragon was relieved to see the place and relieved that is was still mostly the same as it was in the real world. Someplaces were just perfect as they were and Sugarcube Corner was one of them. If Tiara and Spoon were right, Rumble was here and most of his work was done. If not? Well, Spike'd go pay them another, much less civil visit.
Spike entered the club-bakery-lounge-bar amalgam and was a bit relieved to find a lot of familiar things. There was still sweets being made and still familiar faces to be found. He was pretty sure he even spied a Pinkie Pie out of the corner of his eye. Good. A world without a Pinkie Pie sounded way too boring for Spike's tastes. The dragon's green eyes scanned the crowd, looking for his target...grey pegasus, grey pegasus, grey pegasu-THERE! Same mane, right colors, Truffle and Pip? That was Rumble alright. Finally, this dream was almost over and Spike could return to a land with hue and saturation in its color scheme.
The dragon walked through the crowd, making a beeline for Rumble. As the distance closed, he reached out a hand and put it on Rumble's shoulder.
"Don't freak out," The dragon said in a rushed tone, not wanting to alert the colt. "Meet me outside by the door after this song finished. You and me need to have a talk."
Spike released Rumble's shoulder before disappearing into the crowd and the shadows to avoid being spotted, heading for the door again. Even if Spike wasnt gonna miss the subdued color palette of this dream, he'd probably miss being able to do cool stuff like that.
