Trixie let out a sigh at Twilight’s statement, releasing some of the pent up tension before speaking again. It wasn’t Twilight’s fault she was unaware of how larger theatre’s work, but Trixie could at least appreciate that Twilight was wanting to help.
”It’s alright Twilight. I appreciate it, but unfortunately this is one of those things I’m going to have to tough out till it blows over and everypony’s forgotten about it.”
Fortunately the topic of Derpy was a bit more pleasant topic to talk about. Trixie’s more prideful smile returned as Twilight mentioned she would be second to Trixie in teaching Dinky about music. It was a small thing, but Twilight stepping aside and letting her take the lead on something felt pretty good.
”Well, from what Trixie’s seen so far she’s got a natural talent for magic; she picked up that fireworks spell pretty quick. Wouldn’t surprise me to see her travelling the roads herself in a couple years.”
Rarity’s comment about the cookies made Trixie rather self-conscious about the pretty generous amount of them she had eaten. Even now she was halfway to munching another one, but she gently set it back down on the plate. She was rather surprised, however, that Rarity followed up the comment with an apology about the last time they had met.
”O-oh, well….”
Trixie shifted a little bit, not sure how to respond to the apology. Granted, it was something she had wanted: for all that happened Trixie still felt like they hadn’t been fair to her that day. Yet now that she got it she wasn’t a hundred percent sure about that feeling. As much as she wanted to just respond back with a “about time” or something like that, she recognized that would not be the smartest idea.
”I wasn’t exactly on my best behavior that day either and for that I’m sorry…but I really do appreciate the apology. Does this mean that we’re good now?”
