Aye, together. Azure gives Swift a kiss on the cheek, not minding the assistant who may or may not have caught them again exchange a kiss. I wouldn't have it any other way Swifty. This is so odd not having worked today. I've been working non-stop since our day off we spent up in the clouds. It's rare for me to even take a day off anytime much less two in a row. I wonder if painting will suffice enough to replace work for the weekend. Eh, I'm sure Swift can keep me preoccupied with many a thing. Come on Azure, think about something else other than work for once will ya?
I think you're going to make a wonderful mother Swift. Regardless of if you've met your parents or not. Azure gives some of his bits to the assistant as Swift does the same to pay for the expenses of the equipment. Today was going to be a fun day, no matter what. This weekend was going to be a blast.
OOC: I wanted to apologize for taking so long or not frequently posting as much. Been dealing with cluster migraines for a few days now from wake till sleep so hopefully that'll be gone soon and I can get back rolling ^u^
Swift smiled as she stepped out of the store. "I don't know about that. I kind of worry it might be hereditary". She smiled as she pulled three cans out of the buggy and started adjusting things so that she had a can in each front hoof. She grinned as she took off, then bent forward, her rump in the air, as she established how hard she needed to flap to stay aloft with the added weight. "I guess I will be able to carry three cans on my own".
She flapped over and kissed Azure on the cheek. "I had better get that done before I have my mouth full". She grinned, then picked up the last can with her teeth. The feeling was less than pleasant but she guessed the sooner they were back at their house the better. She took off, flying vertically until she was just above Azure as she waited for him.
azure laughs with joy as he watches swift take off with the paint buckets. azures curiosity grew, wondering why swifts parents werent around for her, as well as he. they might have lived different lives, but their childhood spoke of the same story. where were their parents, why were they left behind. azure smiled regardless, he knew swift would make a great future mother.
picking up the paint cans, placing one in his rucksack along with the tools they needed, he takes off to the skies right behind swift. the air felt wonderful around his wings as he finally had some form of exercise with his wings. he was never much one for strength but was glad he had built up what he had. the flight was rather easy for him as he flew around swift playfully before pointing towards the house. swift nods as they take off, azure keeping pace with swift in case she might need help.
it had been awhile since they had flown about together in a playful manner. azure missed it a bit as he relished this moment. before long it would be winter and these days would quickly come to an end, least he thinks so. he wasnt sure how swift handled flying in the cold, he loved it however. worse case scenario, they cuddle up by the fire or in the bed for any period of time. azure wasnt going to argue with that. as they begin to land, azure quickly drops off his cans and tools inside, flying back up to swift to take the paint can from her teeth, hoping she would find relief in it as he holds the door open for her.
Swift smiled as Azure took the can from her mouth. As she had landed she had definitely decided she needed to work out more. She was used to heavy lifting at work but flying across town had tired her more than she had expected. She put the cans down in the entrance way as she kissed Azure on the cheek after entering the house.
Swift grinned as she looked around before picking up the cans and carrying them further into the house. "I think that I really need to work out more. That seems to have taken more out of me than I expected. My wings feel like they do after I fly the hour and a quarter to the academy, not a five minute flight across town".
Azure notes this as he begins to place the cans where they belong. He didn't want to accidentally confuse himself or Swift with what colors were going to be painted in which rooms. There was an exercise we did at home if you're interested in it. If you'd like, I could sit or lay on your back as you fly whenever we both have days off. It's a great way to build up strength and conditioning in your flying ability. Eventually I could put on my armor once you get to the point of flying comfortably for extended periods of time without it.
Azure places both mahogany paint cans in the living room as well as the tarp. They would be required to moves all furniture and such to the middle of the room where everything would be clear out of the way. That way they could place the tarp without having anything obstruct the tarp from being effective. Once he places the items down, he kisses Swift quickly as he passes by, placing a yellow can in the dining room and one light blue can in the kitchen.
There, that's all but the last two for the bedroom. Don't let me forget Swifty, we need to move anything and everything that's close to the walls to the center of the room so we can place the tarp down. I don't want anything getting paint on it that isn't supposed to be getting painted. Would be a shame if hardwood floor turned into a yellow color. I dig the brown color it is already.
Swift smiled as she pulled Azure into a wing-hug, feeling like she was going to enjoy the decorating more than she had expected when Azure suggested it. She was thinking of the idea of flying with Azure lying on her back, wondering if he was being serious. She was never one to back down from a challenge but the idea of flying with another full-grown stallion on her back was a little scary.
She smiled as she looked into the living room as a thought occurred to her. "Shall we start in the kitchen or the living room. I know how much you love the colour of the walls in the kitchen?".
Swift smiled. "I'm not much of a fan of that much brightness myself".
Azure seemed to size up in the wing hug. He loved his hugs and rightfully so, Swift smelled pretty pleasant today. In the meantime however, Swift seemed to read his mind with the painting scheme. Yea, let's definitely paint the kitchen first. I really don't wish to wake up another morning being blinded by the light.....Now that I think about it...I'm starting to think I'm more and more batpony. I work as the Night Guard, don't like brightness.....I hope you're ok with me being part batpony~ Azure teases, poking Swift's nose softly before rushing off to the living room to grab the tarp and tools.
Upon coming back he moves the table to the center of the room along with the chairs. The tarp would go wherever he could place it, covering the floor where it needed to be covered. Taking the tape, he quickly goes around the kitchen in between the cabinets and the sink, blocking off the two items from the wall so that way they would remain the same color as they are now. Light blue colored cabinets and walls? Not particularly ideal. He liked the white. So...this should take care of the prep work. Shall we begin? Azure lifts two paint brushes playfully, allowing swift to pink one she so chooses.
Swift took one of the paint brushes and grinned as best she could with a paint brush in her mouth. She held it with her hooves and kissed Azure on the cheek. A thought occurred to her which after a second brought a blush to her cheeks.
She backed away a second as she laughed a little. "I'm really new to all this. I has suddenly thought that we should have got a ladder to reach the high bits on the wall". She flapped her wings to emphasize her point. "You may be part bat pony but I'm part idiot".
azure laughs whole heartedly for a moment before returning the cheek kiss to swift. well i dont believe youre an idiot but rather someone who thinks of everything. azure bats his wings quickly for a shirt period of time, throwing swifts mane about via wind. the end result seemed priceless to azure as he quickly blushed and ducked his head down to avoid being seen. he was doing his best to hold in a laugh however that itself wasnt working out too well.
so...um...painting..oh yes, we were about to paint. the entire time azure was giggling through gritted teeth, his eyes watering. he took a butter knife, placing it underneath the top of the paint can before popping the top off by using leverage. the top flew off, hitting azure in the face splatting him with the light blue paint on his face as well as several streaks on his chest. his facial reaction becomes one saying really.... he was never going to be able to live that down.
Swift smiled as she managed to barely suppress uncontrolled laughter, then hoof-hugged him, not caring that some of the paint on him was transferred onto her. "I'll tell you what, if you don't tell anypony about me momentarily forgetting that I can fly and I'll forget about that".
She grinned as she released Azure from her hug and dipped her paintbrush into the paint can. "I guess we had better get started before something else goes wrong".
azure nuzzled swifts neck joyfully, rubbing his paint splattered face all over the coat on her neck. when he got finished he stepped back smiling like a foal as he looked at the newly colored swift. heheh, you look good in blue swifty. but yea, i can forget about it. azure picks up his own paint brush, dipping it into the paint can. after making sure no paint would drip azure looks about the kitchen, determining where to begin.
azure flies up to the top of the wall in the kitchen, placing the paint can on the counter by him. he remembered painting before, start at the top, work your way down, and to paint in nice straight lines. azure began this process as swift worked on the wall behind him. the plan seemed to turn into meeting up in the middle of the room. a few minutes had passed by before azure placed his brush down, coming to a landing. hey, give me one moment, this needs something.
azure runs off to the bedroom, coming out with the alarm clock. once plugging it into the wall, he turns on the radio within the clock, picking out some cheerful upbeat music that had been playing on the radio. azure smiles as he flies up beside swift, giving her a quick kiss and nuzzle before flying back over to his wall, brush in hoof, resuming his painting with a hum. this had proven to be highly entertaining so far, and azure couldnt help but to beam with giddyness.
Swift smiled as she watched Azure as he worked for a moment on the chance that he had a clue what he was doing. Having established the 'start at the top' technique seemed to work, she took off and started painting her bit of the walls.
The music was at least making things less likely to bore her senseless than she suspected it would be otherwise. She went to work on the wall, painting in as straight a line as she could while hovering. She looked over at Azure and grinned. "This is more fun than I thought it would be. I was exp..". Her expectations were interrupted by a bumping noise and a muttered curse as she flew a little older and banged her head on the ceiling. "Darn it".
Azure stops painting upon hearing Swift say Darn it. Turning he sees Swift rubbing her head. Putting two and two together, Azure can't help but to giggle quietly before setting his brush down, draped across the top of the paint can. Flying on over to Swift, he wraps her in a hoof hug, softly kissing her head. Is the ceiling being mean to you today dear? Taking one hoof, he places said hoof onto the one she was using to paint with softly, deciding to paint with her. A small sincere smile spread across his face as they painted together.
I think fun might be an understatement, but you aren't wrong either Swift. Azure loses track of time within watching each stroke of paint meet the wall. The light blue color seemed to already be making the room a bit more livelier as well as taking away the blinding effect. Slowly but surely, Swift's side of the wall seemed to become the light blue shade they agreed upon earlier that day. Realizing he was still helping Swift, he let's her go, blushing slightly.
Well lookie here, I'd say you're a pretty damn good painter there Swifty.~ Azure smiles as he returns over to his wall. He had only managed to get a few streaks up while Swift's side was almost covered in the light blue paint. Feeling as if he'd better get a move on, he began once more on his side. Whatever excess paint met the wall slowly cascaded downwards, making things easier for him down the road. For now though, he worked his way about the wall topside.
Swift blushed as Swift helped her, a little embarrassed but liking it nonetheless. She grinned as Azure resumed painting his wall then finished off her wall. After making sure not to bang her head on the flaming ceiling again she checked her bit of the walls and looked over to Azure.
She flew over and smiled before kissing him on the cheek. "Do you want a hoof since you helped me with my wall. We can probably get this done faster if we do the same bit of wall together". She didn't mention that the plan was more to get more sneak kissing in while they worked on the walls.
azures wall comes along nicely. he finished the entire left half of the wall before flying towards the right side. he hears a flap of wings heading towards his direction causing him to turn into a kiss on his cheek. he could feel the hot rush of blush rise in his face as he listened to swifts words, smiling. in the meantime, he would touch up a few spots where paint would seem to glob up, spreading it out nicely. his paint brush at first would seem to drag in full up and down the wall several times over before seemingly gliding across the walls newly painted surface.
i believe i would enjoy your company and help swift. seems only fair since i helped you earlier. besides, how could i ever turn down one who makes me smile so much, hmm. azure lightly bumps swift in mid air, making sure she wouldnt hit her head on the ceiling once more or worse. then the thought of one of them landing on the walls while they were wet began to race through his mind. judging by how much paint he and swift had used, theyd have enough left over to replace the lost paint and then some. this paint seemed especially thick and plentiful. azure had been worried that only one coat of paint would make it especially easy to ruin after it had dried but with the quality of the paint that worry turned into nothing more than a distant thought.
azure could swear that swift had more devious thoughts and intentions than just merely helping him paint. however, with azure enjoying a good bit of chaos and whatnot, he was quickly caught up in figuring out what swift had in mind, considering out the corner of his eye he could see a small slant of her eyes and smirk. he had hoped his mind wasnt playing tricks on him. i can only wonder what you have in mind dear swifty
