Hoof and Feather Disease: Unique to pegasi, Hoof and Feather Disease is a viral infection that causes dizziness and nausea in the subject. A high fever is common with this, though the main symptom is the inability to flap both wings at the same time. The best cure is to wait it out. No flying and isolation for a week. Treatment centers in Pegasi abundant areas will have special quarantine facilities so that the subject can still have visitors, even if contact is expressly forbidden. Pegasi can pass the virus on through wing contact. The Virus acts like a common cold for members of other races.
Wing Mold: Something that can occur for any flying race, though it is more abundant in Pegasi and Batponies. Due to the damp conditions they work in, such as cloudbucking and hanging around in caves, a pony may develop mold on their wings. While it may slow them down and itch, it isn't contagious and can be treated with three days of ointments and cleanings. The more often the pony is in damp conditions, the more likely they are to get it.
Feather Fall: A problum for Pegasi and Griffins. This is a bacterial condition that causes their feathers to shed more frequently. One shot in the wings can clear up the bacteria in two days. This is not contageous.
Lockwing: A joint inflammation that causes the wings of a flyer to remain fully out. This makes it impossible to do anything but glide until it is properly treated and can make getting through doors incredibly challenging. Treatment is usually five days of anti-inflamatory syrup.
Deadweight: A magical ailment where Pegasi can not manipulate or even walk on clouds. Their cloud walkking ability is completely gone. The only treatment for Deadweight is in Canterlot from a Unicorn who cna help re-align the magic responsible for the ability.
