Some time had passed after the last time Luna had intervened in one of Trixie's nightmares. It had been an emotional moment for all involved: Trixie for getting a lecture she probably needed to hear, and Luna finding out there was at least one pony out there who sympathized with her situation. And yet, in the immediate afterwards, things hadn't felt all that different. Trixie had been doing her lessons, though she had made the effort to be honest about her abilities. Such a thing was hard though as the urge to brag was a natural one for her.
Still, for holding back on her ego in lessons, Trixie still felt like things weren't quite right between her and Luna. It was obvious that they had connected in some manner that night. At the very least, they could empathize with each other's desire to simply be loved and the rather wrong ways they had been going about it. So the fact they had simply fell back into their normal routines just seemed....well, it seemed like it was kind of wrong. It was obvious to Trixie by now that Luna wanted a closer relationship, and she had been too caught up in trying to be impressive for the princess to have noticed. Too busy to try and puff herself up she had failed to notice the Princess of the Night had wanted to be a close friend.
Well, even if Trixie honestly wasn't sure she knew what it meant to actually be that, she felt emboldened to at least give it a bit of a try. So, since tonight was a night with no lessons, Trixie had made her way towards Luna's castle. Her chest heaved a little bit as she gathered her breath: all that walking with her wagon and she still had some issues with the stairs around here. She had brought with her a few special little gifts. It was in a white bag, the bottom glistening just a little in grease that was soaking into it from the pile of oatburgers within. Within another bag sat a healthy serving of fries, and the final touch two vanilla hayshakes.
Of course the castle chefs would have been aghast at the site, feeling the junk food of a commoner's dinner to be a gastronomical nightmare. But Trixie liked it, and she had remembered Luna expressing a liking for it as well. And if they were going to try and get their hearts closer together they might as well start by clogging them up just a bit. The perfect gesture of friendship right there.
Arriving at the rather impressive door to Luna's bedchambers, Trixie used her telekinesis to lift and knock with the knockers.
"Princess Luna, it's me, Trixie. I thought maybe we could just...you know...hangout a bit?....If it helps, I brought oatburgers, fries, and shakes!"
