Ponyville. She was in Ponyville. She could feel the filth on her feathers. This town was disgusting but unfortunately Gilda had been forced to by her higher ups. She supposed making deliveries was her job...but usually she was able to pawn the ponyville jobs off on others...but not this time. She was stuck delivering her her least favorite city...but that didn't mean that she had to stay long! She had sped her way straight to the house she stood in front of now, causing stress for those few ponies caught up in her tail wind.
Now she stood in front of a door, knocking hurriedly and very clearly annoyed. She wasn't sure who she was delivering to but they were taking ridiculously long. She grit her teeth and growled as she placed the, rather hefty, package beside her as she waited for the pony to finish up doing...whatever the heck could be important enough to keep her waiting. She knew they were in there, she had seen them!
She scanned the skies and the street, wary of rainbows and pink. She wasn't sure why though, it wasn't like she could leave, even if she saw unsavorable ponies coming her way. She just had to sit and wait....
This was terrible. She flared her wings, sending small gust at the door. "Hello?!" she (half) shouted, her anger steadily growing even though it was mostly under control.

Topaz had only recently moved into Ponyville, but this was definitely more her style. She was typically a quiet pony, and didn't need much in the way of distraction to keep her happy. However, she did bring with her the large collection of musical discs she had collected. She stared at her wall of music and pondered, swaying slightly as she thought of a song to clean to.
That's when she heard hurried knock on her door. She blinked and looked back. Was she expecting someone? She couldn't remember. Quietly, her hooves took her to the door. Then, the door rattled, as if hit by a strong wind. She slowly opened the door, peeking out and seeing the Griffon. A GRIFFON! This was the first griffon she had ever seen that wasn't a statue by a library! "H-hello~?" Topaz started, realizing how much larger this griffon was than her. "H-how may I help y-you?" Her features remained soft and kind as she smiled at the griffon, who seemed... fidgety?
Gilda looked down at the mare. She was...different. First of all she had a stutter, but for stuttering she seemed awfully friendly. Usually when Gilda encountered stutterers it was caused by her but that didn't seem to be the case this time. Gilda guessed the mare just naturally couldn't finish her sentences. "Hey there."[ she said flatly, "I've got this package here that's addressed to this house so if you could go ahead and sign for it that'd be great." she said, rolling her eyes and giving a melodramatic 'huff'
She scanned the skies one more time but seemed relieved afterwards. Maybe the pegasus wasn't in town today. "What do you have in there anyways, really heavy for its size, ya know?" she said, pushing a new born sized box towards the door. "This IS yours, right?" she said, clearly expecting and wanting the answer to be yes.

Topaz blinked as the griffon spoke of a package, and signing for said package that was apparently for this address. Topaz made a few uneasy sounds as she thought, noting the look on the griffon. She lowered her head suddenly, recoiling slightly as the box was pushed toward her.
"I d-don't... Remember ordering a-anything." Topaz said, eyeing the box for a moment, before looking back to the Griffon. Her color dulled just slightly as she realized the griffon had carried this box, which was apparently heavy, all this way only to be told it didn't belong here. "B-but that's n-not to say I d-didn't order a-anything. I m-may have j-just forgot." Topaz said quickly, a small, nervous smile on her face.
Gilda's annoyance was slightly mitigated by the fact that this mare could change her lighting. She had never seen something like that before but it only distracted her for a few seconds before she locked back on to what the mare was saying. "You might have forgot that you ordered something? Not likely." she said, rolling her eyes. "I guess you got sent something. Who knows." she said, pushing the package forward. "Pretty sure this is your address though...if you live here, you're one of those crystal earth ponies right? I thought they were all up north?" Ignorant? maybe, almost definitely.
Then curiosity struck. "I wonder if its something from one of the crowns...like a history book or something. Were you guys really gone for a thousand years, like, poof, gone gone?"

Topaz took a deep, shaky breath, trying to slow her heartrate. This griffon was HUGE! Comparatively speaking, at least. Where Topaz ate very small portions and was pretty thin because of it, Gilda was lithe, with a hint of muscle. Topaz finally felt her heart slow, and she let out one more breath. "S-sorry, I just... d-didn't want t-to disappoint you. You s-seemed like you w-were going to be u-upset if the b-box wasn't for me."
Topaz let out a small giggle at 'Crystal Earth Pony' "I-it's just 'Crystal P-pony'. Earth p-ponies are much s-stronger than we a-are, I'm s-sure." She said, but nodded. "Y-yeah, we're from the n-north. It's b-beautiful, if you e-ever thought about v-visiting."
Then the last question came out. Were you guy's really gone for a thousand years. The question Topaz has never had an answer for, and always tried to dodge. "I don't know." She said, thinking. "T-they said we were in s-some sort of stasis or s-something... for the t-thousand years. B-but... To me, it was seconds. I w-was cleaning a vase for S-sombra one minute. The next, a tall a-alicorn tells us that we're safe, then a l-little later we s-see the Crystal Princess help s-save us." She looked back up at Gilda, locking eyes with the bird for the first time since she arrived. "Y-yes, we're from the North. A f-few of us moved a-away from the Empire b-because of the memories."
"As for this p-package... I don't know w-what it could be. It h-has my address, but no n-name..." She said, putting an ear to the box as if trying to hear what it was. "W-we can open it and f-find out. I j-just moved h-here recently, and I t-think I have some Packing t-tape left if it needs to g-go back to whomever sent it?"
