#Personality ;
First and foremost, Sunrise Delight is very blunt. She prefers not to skirt around things, really, but delivers it with childlike innocence. Comments like 'You're weird' should probably be taken lightly by her, since it's one of those things she says often. She's very childish, of course, being rather young still (in fact a bit younger than the CMC). She gets bored easily, will throw tantrums at times, but will also have a lot of fun because there's really no reason NOT to. She gets jealous easily, and doesn't really like kids younger than herself, and looks up to the older ones around her. She cries easily as well, and is considered rather sensitive. She has a massive sweet tooth and likes anything nummy she can get her hooves on. She isn't really a touchy-feely kinda of pony though, so expect tantrum city if you hug or kiss her, because she considers it gross.
#History ;
Sunrise Delight was born to Lighting Rhapsody and Rain Chaser. She has one brother, Thunder Clap, who is several years older than her. They were both born on Cloudsdale, but ended up, after a little bit, growing up down in Ponyville. Sunrise Delight is neither quick on her feet nor able to fly, as her sweet tooth developed shortly after birth combined with lax parents lets her eat anything she wants, so she's quite stout. She has had an adventurous spirit since she was little, at least, exploring every nook and cranny she could get into and sometimes spilling out. Her biggest fear however is the Everfree Forest- despite being adventurous, it'd be very hard to get her in there. She was given her headband and cloak by her father when she was little, as they used to belong to her Grandmother, Velvet Rainfall. Either way, she's now going on and out and about in Ponyville by herself to try to make friends as her first year of school starts... and she doesn't care if those friends are ponies, her age, older, or what.The Roleplayer's Corner

"Wakey wakey little sunshine!"
The gentle neighing of her parents woke the small filly up from her dream. She looked around the room, dazed and confused, and very warm. A woolen blanket was pulled over her, she noticed, accounting for the heat, but something else was off... This wasn't her room...
Oh, now she saw it. She'd fallen asleep in the living room. Her parents hadn't carried her off to bed, either. But now it was morning. She stretched and gave a tiny yawn as they pulled back the cover.
"Today's the big day!" She rubbed her eyes with her hooves and stood up then, walking from the living room with them and into the sun. The trees were gold and red, and the sky was slightly cloudy. Fillies and colts around her age were running all around. She looked up to her parents, confused.
"Today's the day you start school, Sunny!" She stared at them and her eyes got bigger. But she didn't want to go to school, not yet! It was too soon! Her parents saw this in her and exchanged glances.
"Listen, Sunny dear," Her father said, going down to her level, "Your mother and I figured you should start school now. It's a great opportunity for you! You'll make lots of friends your own age, and have a lot of fun, and learn a lot of really interesting things!"
"But... but..."
"No buts!" Her mother came down to her level as well. "Sunny... you're a big girl now. You can do this! There's nothing to it."
The two stood up then. A band was placed on Sunny's mane and her father pulled her claok over her flank. They nuzzled her gently.
"Okay. Now, have a great time sweetie! You'll be home before you know it!"
The door was shut, but then reopened as a basket was pushed out with some snacky-type items. She pouted, turning away then.
"Hmph!"
She sat there a few moments, ears down, staring at the other children off having fun. She didn't want to make friends with little kids. She wanted to just be an adult already. She'd be a pretty cool adult, or so she thought at least. Plus, then she wouldn't have to go to... school. Thunder Clap told her stories about school, about how it was just a great big scary place full of scary fillies and colts and a scary teacher and- meep! She scrambled as a leaf landed on her cloak... only to be hit immediately with a large yellow ball.
"Hey!" Someone shouted, "Pass it back!"
She didn't see who it was who said it, so she stared at the ball a moment. Then she grabbed her lunch in her mouth, bucked the ball in a random direction, and started out.
She couldn't get back into the house, after all, not now. Her parents were probably having a lot of fun, anyway, without her. She felt like crying- lost and abandoned and having to go to a big scary new place all by herself! She hated it! But she had to go anyway, and so she did, and began to look through the throngs of Ponyville to try to find a way to get to school.
Lucky enough for her, following a line of young fillies led her to the building called school. She quickly found a seat, and sat down at the back of the class...
...Or would have, if not for, soon, another filly coming up to her.
"Hey, that's my spot!" She'd exclaimed, trying to push Sunrise out of the desk.
"...You're mean." Sunrise told her, staring up at the taller filly.
"That's not a very nice thing to say!"
"Pushing isn't nice EITHER!"
"It's MY SPOT!"
"Your name isn't on it!"
"Girls, girls!" An older mare came in then, keeping the two apart. "My goodness, such fighting! Opposite sides of the classroom, both of you! On the first day... Oh no..."
And so Sunrise was sent to sit at the front of the classroom. And there she sat, shivering in her seat, as class began.
She really did not like that filly.
