Hello everyone, and welcome to our first major “episode”-style plot idea. By popular request, we have adopted an idea started in the Cbox to have a genie lamp offer wishes to ponies, who then suffer the consequences of their poorly thought out wishes. Each pony will have a thread detailing their finding of the lamp, their wishes, and then the consequences of the wishes. Only one pony at a time will have the lamp, and the next pony to get the lamp will be chosen at random. The content of the thread will be up to the character’s discretion.
In order to replicate the “negative results” part of the legend, all wishes will be reviewed by staff and twisted in a way as to get the most negative results possible while still being lighthearted as possible. For example, if Scootaloo wished for bigger wings, she would end up with comically large wings that are just as useless for flying as her normal wings. Also, the staff will devise the scenario as to force you to part with the lamp temporarily so there is time for the effects to take place (it's no fun if you automatically wish to undo something right after you do it).
Each pony will be given three wishes to make; use them wisely.
We do have a few rules, and these may be adjusted if the staff feels wishes made may affect the world too far (remember, if you dont undo the wishes they may permanently affect your character)
Other than these rules, fair game.
Below is the list of ponies who will be involved in this plot in order of who gets the lamp:
Ponies
1. Zecora
2. Vinyl
3. Rumble
4. Rainbow Dash
5. Soarin'
6. Rarity

Long ago, in the land that would become modern-day Saddle-Arabia, there was an Alicorn king and his son, Prince Wishing Star. The king was the epitome of 'tough but fair' ruler. He led the kingdom to a new era of prosperity. But the prince could see that while the kingdom was successful, the ponies who lived in it were all miserable under the strict laws of the king's rule.[/blockquote]
He wanted nothing more to be nothing like his father, and to give his people everything that he wanted. Finally, one day he had enough, the prince locked himself away in the royal library, not even allowing sunlight to distract him. He lost all track of days passing, and read book after book on magic by the light of a burning lamp.
He wanted nothing more than to give to his people the most powerful magic he could. In his heart, he wished that he could find a way to grant their wishes.
There are many magical forces in this world, one of the most unpredictable and powerful, is a wish you feel deep in your heart....
When the time came for the prince to take the throne after his father, the royal guards entered the library... but didn't find a thing. All they found was his desk, and the lamp, still burning.
The next in line took the throne, and the lamp was discarded and forgotten. But whenever amazing unexplainable magical occurrences were reported, mention of this lamp seem to accompany it.
The prince got his wish, he was able to grant the greatest wishes of ponies everywhere. But like they all learn, he too learned that something so great also comes at a great cost.

We do have a few rules, and these may be adjusted if the staff feels wishes made may affect the world too far (remember, if you dont undo the wishes they may permanently affect your character)
- No wishing for more wishes. Duh.
- No wishing to become an alicorn. You MAY wish for more magical powers but, well, I’ll keep it a secret why that may be bad.
- No wishes that would involve the creation of life will be granted.
- No wish can make a pony truly fall in love with you. Obsessive to the level of the “Want It Need It” spell may occur if this is attempted.
- If a wish you made affects another players’s character, get their permission first. Also, you will have to remove the effect of the wish unless the player is fine with the more permanent result.
- You can’t wish another pony dead or disappeared. Will just result in them being moved somewhere else (like if you want Trixie to disappear, she’ll poof from being next to you to being in Canterlot or something)
- No banishing ponies to the moon and/or sun. Just…no.
Other than these rules, fair game.
