Tech also wears yellow rimmed aviator goggles around his neck that he puts on when flying.
#Personality ;
You'd probably never even need to talk to Tech to know that he tends to be a loner. After all, he is always traveling around by himself. His loner attitude makes him usually keep a distance from other creatures, though he'll make exceptions to this occasionally (like when looking to be hired for a job). He's also fairly self-centered and somewhat selfish, as he is always looking out for himself and himself alone. Being constantly on the move also means that he's generally impatient and doesn't like waiting for things.
Tech has a special knack for being able to fix and repair things, which is usually how he gets by while traveling (by taking random jobs to fix things that are broken that creatures need done wherever he goes). Although he enjoys putting his talent to good use (especially when he's rewarded for it), what he truly wants to be is an inventor. In his spare time Tech is always trying to think up new inventions to build, though he usually finds that he lacks the capabilities do actually build it or the materials necessary. What especially gets on his nerves is the fact that most advanced machinery runs on magic, which he of course he can't use since he isn't a Unicorn. Still, he has had a couple successes with some of his ideas.
Even if he usually keeps his distance with creatures except when its necessary, he actually doesn't usually mind other creatures, with two exceptions. Those exceptions are: Anyone with an inflated ego, and incompetents (or at least creatures he deems incompetent). Although he'll try to get the word out about his skills whenever he enters a new town looking for work, he tries to not boast too much about himself, and despises anyone who does. Incompetents on the other hand, he finds to be more frustrating than anger inducing.
Although being a loner has had some negative effects to his attitude, there's also been some positive effects. As he is used to relying on himself, he's very independent and willing to do things himself. He also is a quick thinker and has a nearly unbreakable will.
#History ;
Born in the faraway land that most Griffins came from, from an early age Tech had a knack for fixing things. Although most of his past in his homeland is unknown, it is known that when he was a young teenager he left his home to wander the land, partially due to boredom, and partially to find his true calling. It didn't take him too long to figure out that it was being a mechanic and an inventor, but he didn't want to stop exploring just yet. Besides, his hometown was definitely not the kind of place where he could perfect his skills anyway.
Tech traveled to many places across the world until not too long ago he ended up in Equestria. He liked it more than most other place he went too (especially that one continent that was FULL of dragons), so he decided this would be a good place to stay for now, even if he wasn't going to stay in a specific town. Plus, maybe the Unicorns could help him with creating some of the more advanced machines he had ideas for, that could only feasibly run with the help of magic.
Tech is still looking for his big break, where he invents something truly amazing. He's had a few successes so far, one of the main ones being the Solar Gun (a small gun with a magic gem inside of it, it store energy from the sun and releases it when fired. The gun has lens in the barrel that focus the light beam. Its not dangerous (unless you're an ant), but can blind someone if fired into their eyes from over 100 feet away).
The Griffin inventor continues on his journey, going wherever the winds take him. Where will he go next? Only time will tell...

"I don't think I should've taken that left turn...," Tech noted as he walked down a silent road in them idle of a dark forest. He had absolutely no idea where he was, or where he was going. That's what he got for skimping out on buying a map. "I can find my own way," he said. "There's only two paths, how could I get lost?" he said. It didn't help that he had hurt his wing a few days ago and it was still healing, so he couldn't fly up and survey his surroundings.
Tech sighed in frustration and continued walking down the path. He couldn't believe that it was so dark right now. It was noon! This forest was even denser than all the locals in the last village he went through said it would be.
*rustle, rustle*
"The heck was that?" Tech stopped and looked around, but couldn't see anything. He shrugged, and kept walking. Until...
*rustle, rustle*
"Ok, whoever's doing that better come out!" Again, he stopped and looked around. Nothing...
*rustle, rustle*
"Those noises are definitely getting louder. Just need to get out of this forest, as fast as poss-" Before he could finish his thought, two timberwolves jumped out from the bushes, growling at Tech.
"Oh crap." Tech stood still and watched the two wolves closely. Just as the two timberwolves lunged at him, he jumped to the side and dodged them, then started running down the path as fast as he could. The two timberwolves immediately turned around and gave chase.
"Alright Tech, now's about the time you think of something to do before you get eaten. Come on, think...Ha! I got it!" As Tech ran, he reached into one of his saddlebags with his beak and pulled out a bronze gun. In one quick motion, he stopped, turned around, grabbed the gun from his mouth, and fired it at the timberwolves.
As they were staring right at him as he fired the gun, both wolves were stunned by the gun. But, as they stood there being blinded by the light, the tiberwolf on the left, whom Tech was focusing the gun's beam on, began to sizzle. Then, it suddenly caught fire.
Pointing the Solar Gun at a normal animal would probably not do much except at the most a slight burn, but the timberwolves, being made of wood, were very flammable. So flammable, that focusing the Solar Gun's beam of light on them for a couple seconds was enough to catch one on fire. The left timberwolf yelped in pain and began to panic, running around wildly in a vain attempt to put the fire out. All it ended up doing though is running straight into the right timberwolf, causing him to catch on fire as well.
Tech wasted no time in making his escape while the two timberwolves ran around blindly trying to put the fire out. Though now that he though about it, maybe he should've tried to make sure they won't catch the forest on fire.
"Eh, saving my own skin was worth a little forest fire," Tech thought to himself. Hopefully, this path won't be going through this forest for much longer.
