||| CHARACTER NAME |||
#Name; Catwalk
#Age Group ;Rapidlyapproaching middle age.
#Gender ; A whole lot of mare.
#Species; Unicorn.
#Cutie Mark ; A spotlight.
#Occupation ; Model (on indefinite hiatus).
#Powers and Abilities ;
Catwalk's special talent lies in little touches to make her (or somepony close to her) more fabulous, especially when they're on the runway. This means flashy, superficial effects that boost up a pony's appearance. Setting a spotlight on them, making them give off a bit of a sparkle, fixing any stray hairs in their mane/tail, or giving them better balance for a brief amount of time and a couple other simple spells.
#Physique ; Cat has a model's physique gone slightly to seed during her hiatus - she's slightly taller than the average pony and curvy, but it's masked by her plump figure.
#Mane and fur color and style ;
#Eye color ;
#Other appearance details (optional) ; Cat is a lover of flashy things and would never be seen not wearing something. She can usually be seen in designer clothes with quite a bit of ruffle and lace, though if it's appropriate to the situation, she'll stick with a simple blouse. Some form of gold jewelery is usually draped over her somewhere, a necklace, bracelets, or just hair pins.

#History ;
Cat was a simple country filly, she grew up on a small farm outside Appleloosa. She was a hard working and humble pony, ignorant to her hidden abilities and she hit a lucky break when a talent scout just so happened to be passing through and saw the little pony. He was immediately taken by her charm and decided that she was destined for fame. While Cat was hesitant to leave her family behind, she promised that any money she made would be sent home to support them and was whisked away to the world of stardom.
That's the story she would like everypony to believe, anyway. In truth, Catwalk - born Kitten - came from a simple middle-class pony family. Kitten was always unhappy with such a boring life, though. Not rich, not poor, just getting by day to day. She longed for excitement and fame. So the young pony worked her tail off to try and and find the fame she so desired. Most of the time though, she wasn't even given a second glance. She was just too plain from all accounts.
It took a long time before she got any notice, but her sheer persistence and desperation lead to her to a talent agent who thought there might be an opportunity to strike gold. Together, they constructed her history and created her current day persona of Catwalk. She instantly rocketed to into the spotlight- as it turns out, a lot of ponies were suckers for the "little poor pony with a dream" story.
After enjoying a long period as a celebrity, Cat decided to go on hiatus in Ponyville. She needed a vacation and thought a town as quaint as Ponyville would give her a slower pace she could relax in while still letting her receive some of the attention she adores.

It was hot. Ridiculously hot. Cat would swear she could see the heat rolling along the ground like tumbleweeds. Even the shade of her wide brimmed hat didn't seem to protect from the merciless sun beating down. It'd been so nice just last week, what happened?
Surely no pony would be crazy enough to be out and about in this heat but here she was, walking down the street armed with a lacy folding fan. Honestly, there was only one thing that lured her out of her nice cool home: the prospect of ice cream. The mare almost drooled at the thought. Sweet honey peach or tart lemon custard or rich butter pecan... or maybe all three. Yes, definitely all three of them, stacked up all cool and creamy on a huge waffle cone. Sugarcube Corner had started carrying ice cream at beginning of the summer and she'd been by almost every day to get her fill of the frozen treat, even though the weather had been pretty mild up until now. Now the heat was sure to make it taste even better.
She started to waltz in the door like she always but there seemed to be a bit of a crowd around the entrance. Catwalk frowned a little, her ears twitching forward with dismay.
"Now, what's goin' on here?" She tried to part the crowd some with her fan, but only received glares from the ponies blocking her way.
"It's called a line. And it starts back there." A pegasus pointed her in the direction of the center of the square - the line nearly wrapped around the whole plaza, filled with ponies standing and sweating in the sun. It seems she wasn't the only one who wanted to cool down with ice cream. Cat's heart sunk but she tried to force a smile on her face, her tone going syrupy.
"My... I declare, that line's bigger than the day is long! Maybe I could just wait inside until it's a mite smaller..." At least there'd be shade inside while she waited...
"No way lady, it's packed wall to wall in there. You DEFINITELY won't be able to fit."
Cat's eye twitched, some of the sweetness fell out of her voice. "You're not possibly sayin' that I'm too big to fit inside?"
"No, I'm saying you need to wait your turn out there like everypony else!" And with that, the other pony turned and pointedly ignored her.
Catwalk started to fume, but the heat was too great for her to work up the energy to get really angry. Instead, with a grumble of "No manners t'all, I swear," the chubby mare worked her way to the end of the line, glowering a bit as she tried to think of some other way to get her prized treat... or at least beat the heat.
