It would have been no surprise to her that her family had been involved in the raising of the sun and moon. After all, her family had a long history of service and magical expertise, so such a task would have been well suited for them. Although it almost annoyed, now that she thought about it, that she was invoking her last name for luck. If her family did in fact have a history of this, then it would just be yet another “proud Lulamoon tradition” that she was following in. Still, she was willing to set her problems with the family aside and just hope she was lucky enough to be right and get the star to listen to her.
So when the star finally listened to her, with some struggling, and Luna was beaming at her with approval. For somepony like Trixie, who enjoyed such attention, this had to be one of the best moments of her life. The princess was proud of something she had done! Puffing out her chest just a little bit, she listened as Luna gave her permission to put out more stars.
”Of course, Trixie would be glad to...”
Before she could finish speaking, or recognize she had slipped back into third pony, Trixie found her speech interrupted by an embarrassingly large yawn. Her face began to burn with a blush as she looked away, rubbing her eyes as an excuse to not look at Luna after such a moment.
”S-sorry about that, but seems I might be a little more tired than I thought. I think I might just sit and watch if you don't mind.”
She really did want to try and put out another star or two, but even now she could feel that her eyes were starting to droop. Considering how finicky that last one was, the last thing she wanted was to try and pick another fight with a star. For now, she was content to watch Luna, lying up against the banister just a little bit for support. As the moon made it's way down and the brilliant colors of the sunrise came, Trixie's head bobbed up and down a little. She was trying to stay awake the best she could, the exhaustion of the night having finally caught up to her. It was the polite thing to do after all, and it would be a complete embarrassment on her part to fall asleep at the princess's side.
Unfortunately for her, then, as the moon set below the horizon, her eyes finally shut. Whenever Luna turned to face her student, she would find a sleeping Trixie – with maybe just a slight hint of drool coming from her contented smile – propped up against the balcony.
