#Personality ;Piña is an exciteable little foal, always out looking for something to do or mess around with. By nature she is a rather curious and experimental type, particularly when it comes to playing around with her juice mixtures. Because of this she can get into trouble quite a bit, a habit she gets from her sister Berry Punch. It also means that she is a rather extroverted pony, always up for making friends over a nice cold cup of juice. Of course, for these new friends she tends to be a bit of a “bad” influence, often trying to encourage them to join her in her escapades. It’s never anything particularly big, being foals of course, but between her natural curiosity and some of the money she makes with her juice sales she tends to be a bit loose at times.
Speaking of her juice sales, Piña does have a rather strong work ethic once she gets into the mood for it. Once she’s focused on it she can get into a zone, and can press and squeeze with a striking efficiency. Of course, if she’s not being too serious her playful nature kicks back in and she’ll try and do tricks to lighten things up. She also has an odd business savviness, and does like to try and strike bargains and deals. Even her own parents are caught up in a profit-share scheme with her providing juice recipes in exchange for her getting the lion’s share of the profits.
Probably the one area where her and her parents are in disagreement about is her sister Berry Punch. Piña was small when Berry left, so Berry has the advantage of always seeming like the cool, out of house big sis. Because of this, Piña always enjoys the mare’s company, especially since Berry is probably just as much of a foal as she is behavior wise. The same goes for her “niece”, with Piña trying to play the role of the fun “aunt”, which is pretty easy since age wise there’s not that much of a difference between them. Because of her parent’s disapproval, though, any visit to Berry’s tends to lead to a few days of bad feelings between her and her parents.
Because she’s an “aunt” and has some business deals with her parents, Piña has an odd thing where she tries to act like she’s older than her peers. Since she’s “experienced”, she likes to position herself as a mentor or source of wisdom to her friends. Referring back to her tendency for trouble, however, this wisdom is rather questionable, but she likes to think she has the charisma to keep at it.
#History ;The Punch family comes from a rather high-class agricultural family in Canterlot, one of the few due to the mountainous of the area. The grape and berry farms, as well as related vineyards, meant that Piña Colada was exposed to wines and juices at a really young age. Didn’t help that her sister Berry Punch was practically lived off of alcohol, something that always caused a tension between their parents and Berry who had “left” the family when Piña was rather young. Still, the parents didn’t keep her exactly away, giving meaning that at least in some way’s Piña’s personality was influenced by the party mare. That, and the fact that compared to other Canterlot elite her family was a little more “in the dirt”, so to speak, than the other families. Not just because she was an Earth Pony, of course, but because of the choice of profession of her parents.
Not that Piña had any issues with that of course. She loved messing around in the fields and making juices out of the various grapes and berries her parents had. By that, of course, was meant mostly just squeezing a bunch of grapes until juice came out. It wasn’t until her parents went into town for other groceries, however, that Piña got to have the really fun stuff. Canterlot, being the hub of trade that it was, got to import a lot of exotic fruits. Piña begged her parents to let her get some, loving their various tastes and colors that made them seem much more appealing than that wine junk her parents and Berry liked. In her spare time she would try and mess around with them to try and make new flavors. Most of them didn’t work out all that well, but some did, and she made notes of when they did so she could share with friends.
The time came when her school decided to have a fundraiser day in the form of a bakesale. For many ponies, this being Canterlot, they simply bought some baked goods at a low price and then sold them again or just hire somepony to make the stuff. Piña, however, didn’t want to do that. Instead, she decided to actually make something by hoof. Not being a baker, however, that meant the best choice was for her to make juice, and a juice so great it’d be the best seller at the fundraiser.
Unlike baked goods, however, juice was best served fresh. So with that in mind, Piña came with a blender, a squeezer, and as much fruit as she could fit in the designated booth area. The crowds came, pushing Piña’s juice making skills to the test. Not only was she making custom orders, she had to get them out there fast without making too much of a mess. One spilled drop on some fancy unicorn’s frock and it would all be over. Fortunately, she made it, with her special “Tropical Blend” alone making more money than any of the other competitor’s. And in the spirit of that, her rump got a shiny new cutie mark of a palm tree on a beach island.
Piña continues to experiment with juices, letting her parents use the recipes when they can to sell and give her a nice bit of profit for herself. Well, most of it goes to a trust fund because, pfff ,parents right? But still, this means she as a bit more freedom to goof around than a lot of foals, and she loves to take advantage of that. Mostly to try and sneak off to visit her sister and her niece who is only a little younger than she is.The Roleplayer's Corner

Piña had absolutely no idea where Berry Punch had ran off to, but it was okay. Her sister was probably off doing something with Ruby Pinch or whatever. It was fine for Piña as it meant she could get a chance to look around Ponyville a bit more. Despite being from Canterlot, Piña found that this small Earth Pony town aesthetic fit her a lot better. If it wasn’t for the fact that the Apples had a practical monopoly on cider and apple juice around here, Piña could see her family maybe setting up a new farm down here. As much as she hated to admit it, however, the Apples did make the best apple juice. Shoot, she was drinking a cartoon of their juice right now. One day she would figure out how they did it and then make an even better one…probably using Apple family apples since they were also the best apples. Dang it, they won either way.
Ah well, no point focusing on that losing battle. For now all she could do was throw away the carton and get back to exploring the town! On some of her last visits she had already been to Sugar Cube Corner and some of the other central features. Not wanting to look at that again, she had wandered off towards some random direction. She was surprised to find, however, that she had wandered up by the school house. Fortunately it was the weekend: she’d hate to be mistaken for a local foal skipping class. At the very least, the playground was available to play on.
Glancing around, she spotted something that looked like a pole with two balls attached to it. The top of the thing made it look like it was supposed to spin, but she wasn’t exactly sure if it did. Well, there was only one way to find out!
With a running start, Piña leapt at one of the ball things and grabbed onto it. As the rope strectched and the ball went flying forward with her it…only went forward. Darn, no spinning. Still, the now makeshift swing did well enough, and Piña simply enjoyed herself as she swung on the ball.
