Travel, well that's a new one. It's been a long time since he'd traveled anywhere, but to Canterlot of all places, it had to have been years, no, decades... uhh, a decade. However, none of that mattered now, he had to live for today, make a good impression, not like his last Hearts and Hooves day. Just had to find where his date would be, so his journey continued.
Everyone looked so regal as he left the train station, but that was the air of the city. Home of the princesses, the royal guards, rich ponies... This city is everything Reed isn't, well... besides his vest, that has a "Made in Canterlot" tag in it.
"Good thing everything is paid for... For the love of Celestia, that train ride would have put me in the red..." he huffed out a large sigh as the walked through the crowded streets in search of his destination. A little bakery/cafe, a family owned place a few turns off the main street flooded with decorations sandwiched between a florist and cobbler. Couldn't even read the sign past all the balloons, but it seemed to be the right place, yet, just to be safe, he looked through the window for the name of the place. It took him a moment to find it, the sign hanging above the counter, "Bien Cuit".
This was it! He found his way there, now to just go in and... sit? Of course it was all set up, they had cards with ponies names on them all around the booths, just had to find his name.
"Ah, there you are..." he said aloud... for some reason. He sat down in the squishy seats of the booth with an audible thud. "Now to play the waiting game..." he turned the other card around, "Derpy... Hooves? Interesting name."
