Trixie was sure she wouldn’t have any trouble dealing with anypony who attempted flirting with her; turning a pony down came really easy to her. Still, she doubted that she would have to do something like that. The whole flowers thing was probably just professional courtesy or something. It was not of major concern to Trixie. If anything, the lack of faith in the DJ pony to actually remember her title was of more concern to her than the probably nonexistent interest of a stallion. There really wasn’t anything she could do about it, however, and as long as she got “Trixie” right it wouldn’t matter that much.[/blockquote]
And so she just sat listening as her apparently new best friend just kept on talking; Trixie was not one for small talk. Unless the conversation was about herself of course, but that wasn’t the case here. Even then, it seemed the DJ was more interested in the music than in talking (no surprise since it was sort of her job). After a moment to adjust the music, however, it was back into small talk. Since the focus was on her, of course, Trixie’s mood brightened up a little. Now she could actually talk about something interesting….but first she had to deal with the little detour about the door.
”I’m sure the owners would be glad to hear your renovation plans after the party,” Trixie replied, trying to hide the sarcasm in her voice with a false smile.
”Anyway, currently Trixie has not been doing that much, what with working on trying and make my comeback. This has probably been my first break in a while and mostly on the suggestion of a friend,” she replied, remembering it had been Soarin’s idea for her to go to a nightclub and see about a job. He had been partially right; she had gotten at least some advertising.
”In general though, Trixie mainly practices for her shows or on various skills to compete with.”
