Braeburn gave a concerned frown at the tale of Trixie's misfortune. It seemed like times had been rough on the mare, and she could use a break. He had experienced money troubles before, and the loss of something important. She was a traveling showpony, the wagon she lost was probably as good as a house to her, and the loss of something like that was never an easy one. He knew his willingness to help other ponies would come back and bit him in the tail someday, but he hoped this wasn't it.
"Ah'll pay for your train ticket Miss Trixie, an' Ah can give you a covered wagon for performin' at our end of fall event. The saloon in town has a stage that doesn't get used too often, an' Ah'm friends with the owner. If you'd like Ah could get him to agree t' book you for a few nights. You'd get paid for performin', plus tips, an' you wouldn't have to worry none about food or shelter."
It was the best deal he could offer the unicorn at the time being. The dance floor wasn't the best place to negotiate a business arrangement, but once the song ended he figured they could go and negotiate someplace a bit more suitable, or at least agree to meet up at a better time. Before something like that could happen though, the DJ had decided to grace them with her presence.
Braeburn had originally shown up with the intention to talk to the marshmallow-colored DJ, but bumping into Trixie had been a good surprise. At the moment he was a bit more excited to talk with her than Vinyl, but that wasn't going to stop him from doing what he came here for. "The name's Braeburn. The party's alright, Ah guess, but Ah didn't come here for that. Ah came t' discuss some business with you Miss DJ before bein' pleasantly sidetracked by Miss Trixie."
