Eschiyat, or Cocoa Twist in his pony form, is normally a rather cheery being. He is almost always smiling, and tends to hand out samples of his chocolate. He greatly enjoys the taste of the emotions he feeds on, and enjoys seeing ponies happy and content. Despite being an outcast, Eschiyat has never once tried to be anything but a simple member of his species, feeding and sharing his food with any Changelings he met and recognized.
Eschiyat rather enjoys being around other ponies, and takes every opportunity to socialize, often winding up drunk and waking up with a pounding hangover the next morning, but no regrets. Eschiyat follows a strict philosophy of "Live for now, hope for later, and let the past sleep.", and since developing it, has never been happier.
#History ;
Eschiyat was born quite some time ago, in Chrysalis' first batch of eggs.
He grew quickly, for a changeling, and was among those who participated in the assault on Canterlot, until the shield was broken, at which time he decided that he was bored and wanted to go off somewhere else.
Eschiyat made his way across Equestria, picking up various skills and quickly picking them up, but a couple stood out, in particular- the odd "telekinesis" ability that the ponies wielded, and the strange art of chocolate-making. The changeling quickly took the easiest form to him, a chocolate brown unicorn with a spiky green mane.
Eschiyat delved as deep into the art of chocolate making as he could, rapidly meeting and surpassing the skill of several premier chocolatiers, all of whom he had learned from. Eschiyat continued practicing and increasing his skills, eventually becoming famous in his own right. Eschiyat wandered for some time, going from town to town and selling his chocolate. He eventually grew tired of wandering, setting up shop in Ponyville where he has been ever since.The Roleplayer's Corner

(Eschiyat has been speaking with the Changeling Queen. He has been overwhelmed with guilt over the death of a friend and their family, and the Queen is attempting to comfort him.)
Eschiyat didn't know whether the Queen's plea was laced with a command or not, but as she spoke, he started feeling foolish for continuing to beat himself up over this for over a thousand years.
She was right.
He had done everything right, hadn't he? He had agreed to take care of Valor's wife, and he had done the best he could- he was out getting food so she could continue on living when she had hanged herself. He wasn't at fault here; he had done what he had to do.
His face stayed turned downward as his Queen spoke, and as she spoke, Eschiyat felt himself shrugging off just a little more. He couldn't keep doing this to those around him- it wasn't fair to them; he couldn't let them fall like he was... But...
"I can't move on..." Eschiyat said.
"To move on... is to forget... And... I can't forget them....."
