Dinky is very innocent. She's sweet as can be, without it being annoying. Her innocence is special, and it doesn't go so far to make her naive. She's actually very inquisitive if the situation is right. This comes from a higher maturity than most of her friends, leaving her to wonder about a lot of things.
She's nice to almost everypony she meets, but no one is as special to her as her mother, Derpy, is. If anyone spoke badly of her mother, Dinky would become very angry and yell at them, but the yelling would turn to tears soon after. Dinky knows there's something wrong with her mother, but Dinky doesn't care. Her mother is, "the best mommy in the world", and nopony will ever change that. That doesn't mean she isn't embarrassed from time to time from her mother's antics, but she will always love Derpy, no matter what.
Dinky loves muffins. Oh, does Dinky love muffins! This comes from her mother's own love of muffins. Dinky loves spending time with her mother, making muffins and eating them. Though, unlike her mother, she lies English muffins too. Dinky likes all muffins.
#History ;
Dinky was born into the world with her single mother Derpy. Dinky loved her mother from day 1, and never faltered in the coming years. She did almost everything with her mother, up until the time where Dinky was old enough for school. There, she met the Cutie Mark Crusaders, becoming friends with them.
Dinky knows that most ponies think Derpy's not right in the head because of her eyes and clumsiness, but Dinky knows differently. She tries to tell everyone how great of a mother Derpy is, but they won't listen. They keep trying to get her to move away from her mother, for her own safety, but this upsets Dinky further. Thus, Dinky has vowed to search through every spell book when she grows up, so that she can fix her mom's eyes.
It's a lost cause, but Dinky loves her mother too much, not to try. Until that day, Dinky will make muffins with Derpy, and she'll be the best pony she can be.

Dinky lightly whistled, hopping through town. Today, she was gonna go home, and make muffins, and eat muffins, and-"Hey, Dinky?" Dinky paused mid-hop, and then turned to the voice when she landed. A stallion stepped up. "Listen, if your mother ever... snaps... You have a home with us."
Dinky frowned, turning her head. "Snaps? Whaddaya mean?" Dinky seemed to seriously consider it. Ponies couldn't really snap. They didn't have fingers like griffins did. She didn't really understand why if Derpy did snap, she'd need to go to their house...
"Uh, let's see... If your mother ever goes off the deep end, you can count on us." Deep end? Like in a pool? Or at the beach? Dinky considered these, but remember several instances like this.
"Oh, that's fine! Mommy's done that a few times! But, she's fine!" His eyes exploded open, and his mouth dropped. "I mean, she can swim, but her wings get wet, so she tries not to." The stallion seemed confused at first, but exhaled in relief a few seconds later. This stallion was weird. Why did he care about his mother snapping and falling in water?
"No, Dinky, I mean, if your mother ever loses her mind, or if she ever hurts you, just know-" Dinky's voice exploded in volume, cutting him off right then and there.
"Mommy would never hurt me! And mommy's not crazy! Stop saying that! She's the best mommy in the world! I know she's clumsy and her eyes are weird, but that just makes her special! My mommy is special! She's not crazy!"
"Dinky, calm down, you don't understa-"
"What don't I understand?! That my mommy is hassled by ponies like you, or that her daughter is told her mommy is crazy every day?!" Tears coursed down her cheeks, and she shook. "My mommy's not crazy! You all are crazy! You all are what's wrong! I don't have a normal mommy, I have the best mommy! She's the best mommy ever! She gives me muffins, and she tucks me in, and she makes me feel better, and she makes me laugh, and she's better than everyone else's mommys! She's mine! She's my mommy! She's mine!"
