||| WILD SKY |||
#Name; Wild Sky
#Age Group ; Young adult
#Gender ; Hen
#Species; Gryphon
#Cutie Mark ; N/A
#Occupation ; Pet Shop worker in the Shop her parents run. She helps train the animals so their future owners don't get an unruly pet.
#Powers and Abilities ;
like all Gryphons she can fly, has an eagle's far sight and a rather intimidating roar-scream when it actually works properly. The roar-scream she uses still needs practice at this time; she's likelier to end up making a laughable squeak more often than not, which she finds funny. Of course she can also walk on clouds like others of her kind and the Pegasi.
But she has one unique skill; she can communicate and understand most creatures...to a point, she has an easier time understanding and being understood easiest by, avian and feline animals over other species.
#Physique ; She's somewhat similar in build to a Pegasi; that is a good bit of her strength lies in her leg, shoulder and wing muscles. But she also has a slim, somewhat streamlined appearance to her.
#Mane and fur color and style ; her feathers are black with flecks of dark blue and her fur is entirely dark blue. the 'style' of her head feathers is pretty simple; she has two larger feathers lying atop her head almost like swept back bangs and her 'ears' sweep back in a similar style.
#Eye color ; the pale green of new leaves in spring
#Other appearance details (optional) ; Around her eyes she has blue 'flame-like' markings and four blue feathers mark the place above her shoulders on either side of her neck. Her beak is silver with a black tip and her forefeet are gray coloured bird talons.
#Personality ;
Wild Sky, despite her name; can be a calm caring individual and is more than willing to offer a shoulder to cry on for those who need it. However she is mightily protective of friends, so hurting them in any sense is a good way to see her worst side. This protectiveness toward friends is also a sign of her extreme loyalty; she would do anything for those she calls friend, no matter their species.
She also has a very playful side and can often be distracted by simple shiny things, which gives her friends a laugh as she bats the shiny across the floor. 'Sky has a rather amusing reaction to being embarrassed as well; she fluffs up her feathers in her form of a blush. If she ingests high amounts of sugar she could be compared to a hummingbird crossed with a parrot thanks to how bad a Chatterhead she becomes.
She can however have quite the mean streak once she's good and angry so she's not quite rainbows and sunshine all the time. She also can hold a grudge like nothing else; though she really does try to avoid that coloring her life.
#History ;
Wild Sky's hatchday had been a momentous occasion; but a bit different than how most gryphon's would enter the world. For one thing no adult gryphon's were around, in the place of her birth parents were a pair of unicorns. The duo had saved the egg from a group of Diamond dogs who had either thought they'd found a shiny thing or had been planning to enslave the hatchling within.
Either way the two Unicorns had only planned to save the egg then try to find the hatchling to be's parents. So when it had hatched and the little creature within had imprinted on the two equines, they knew returning the creature to its real family was an impossibility. They did try to give her a name that they believed would reflect where their adopted child came from; thus she'd been dubbed Wild Sky. Of course she'd had to grow into the name; as her early years had been spent as a tiny wad of fuzz with ineffectual wings and general cuteness.
She hadn't let that stop her from finding her inner adventurer however. So, unfortunately for her new parents; they'd had to learn new ways to keep a determined baby gryphon out of places she'd so wanted to get into. Thankfully for her parents continued sanity Wild Sky grew out of the baby/toddler Gryphon stage fairly quickly; though both Unicorn's agreed that Sky's shiny fixation was still cute no matter how old she got. It had been this shiny fixation that caused her parents to joke that her 'gift' might involve gems and metals.
But she'd proved her equine parents wonderfully wrong when she had finally been deemed old enough to help them in the shop they'd set up in Ponyville. It was during this time they'd learned of their odd child's affinity for; and understanding of, animals. Especially feline and avian pets; though she seemed to love all animals equally, even if its a little harder to get those not feline or avian to understand what she wants of them. So as she grew into a responsible young adult she took on as many responsibilities as was needed of her to keep her parent's shop running.
Though they were not adverse to letting her have fun exploring Ponyville and befriending its inhabitants. Even if they'd looked at her a bit oddly at first, after all not too many Gryphon's had blue fur on their lion halves. But she'd shown she was not like another Gryphon that had made herself known to Ponyville; by helping where she could when a task was too big for one pony alone. Wild Sky had even been happy helping a certain farm owning family harvest apples, even though she couldn't knock the good apples outta the trees for as long as the pony she helped was able to.

Sweet Celestia they actually let me in...
Incredulous thoughts like this were chasing themselves through the giddy mind of the one youngish Gryphon; who was still reeling from being allowed in to try and compete. She walked in a daze with the crowd of equally stunned yet giddy young Pegasi colts and fillies into the massive cloudesseum. Sure she'd been a chatterhead as usual as she and the others had flown to the cloudesseum for Wonderbolts tryouts. Though she'd abruptly shut her beak once the herd had crossed the thresh-hold of the cloudesseum. As they'd entered the area the sun had broken past the cloud cover and had thus momentarily dazzled the giddy herd.
But they soon forgot the sunlight as the Wonderbolts themselves had shown up. The arrival of these Skyline superstars had served to hush what little chatter had still been going on. Which resulted in the announcer Pegasi finally being able to speak without somepony accidentally interrupting him. As he'd explained the reason the Wonderbolts were there, to see what the new fliers could do; Wild Sky knew her heart hadn't been the only one to do a funny little shivering jolt.
But it had sure felt like it to the young Gryphon. That is, she felt like she'd been the only one in a state of heart-jolting excitement as she'd looked up awestruck at Spitfire. She might be a Gryphon but she was a complete Wonderbolt fan-filly after all. Soon after seeing Spitfire somewhat close to the crowd the event had begun, though things seemed to blur past for the young gryphon; as the next thing she knew she felt wingsore but uplifted when Spitfire and her friends had pointed out how well they thought all the youngsters had done, along with expressing confidence that their talents would only grow.
After that a tired, but positively gleeful Wild Sky had flown home to her parents to tell them how well Spitfire and the other Wonderbolts had said the group had done.
