#History ;
Dr. Daring 'India' Do, is an Equestrian archaeologist most famously known as the main character of Daring Do and the Quest for the Sapphire Stone from the Equesria best selling list. Daring gained her PhD at the age of 14. Throughout her impressive young career she found numerous famous mythological artifacts, including the Sapphire Stone, the Bit of the Covenant, the Holy Grains, and the Crystal Saddle. This placed her under the spot light and she was well known and famous among filly's to stallions. She was able to deflect this attention well by having the books masked as 'Fiction' by the true author, her brother Fossil Stone.
Daring's young life was very influenced by her parents, from a young age she would travel with her brother Fossil in adventures with them as they guest lectured in colleges across the world. Her relationship with her father became strained after her mother became sickly and died. She moved from her father and brother when she finished her PhD in archeology at the tender age of 14 and had heard rumors of an unexplored temple. She would briefly stop and teach at school to gain enough bits to pay for the next big adventure. She continued to write her brother every single day, it wasn't until the first book was released she discovered Fossil had turned her adventures into an incredibly best selling series. If she wasn't teaching or adventuring, she could be seen trying to stay under the radar and relaxing at her unique rail-yard home.
She had spent about a year in Apploosa until it had come into the open that she was in fact the real Daring Do. She had tried living in the new up and coming town, where reading wasn't quite as common of a past time. Daring had decided to spend some time in Ponyville to recuperate and research... at least that is what she said. It seemed like there might be a different motive for being in equestria's strangest small town.The Roleplayer's Corner

#Sample RP ;Daring threw the book she had between her hooves at the side of the rail-car, a mixture between a growl and sigh on her lips. Her brother, Fossil Stone, had recently finished the advance copy of what was going to be newest 'Daring Do' novel, this one covering her adventure and successful find of the once mythical “Crystal Saddle”. “Even I have to admit that Fossil has some serious writing skills, and I guess the adventure WAS pretty cool....” she breathed out loud to herself, alone in the rail yard. She had gotten caught up in the adventure of the novel, feeling the familiar adrenaline rush as if she was actually back at the temple. These books were the bane of her existence, she was everything the books said she was, but she was not a fan of fame. She wanted nothing more then to spend her life muzzle deep in an old dusty scroll or dodging traps set up years and years ago by original earth ponies, not doing little folly's birthday parties or book signings. She loved her brother, but she didn't like him very much.
Daring raspberry eyes glanced around her quickly, checking to see if she was still alone in the rail-yard. Content she was she slipped a pad lock off an old run down green rail-car that looked as though it had been parked on the rails since Ponyville was founded, and slipped inside quickly locking the door behind her. Instantly the days worries and plaguing thoughts cleared from her mind as she looked at the sanctuary in front of her. It had been another brilliant idea of Fossil's after she had 'talked' to him about the issues his books had brought to her, and he had suggested “Well Doodie, if your always having to move.. why not have a movable house?” she had thought he was loony, but now that she had her movable home complete she felt so much more centered. Daring was not poor by any means, receiving checks from every sale of her brothers novels, she used the money mostly to help the museum renovation project in canterlot. She had more then enough left over though to fund her project, the rail-car was lush and decorated in the image of the home of a friend in Saddle Arabia. The fabrics were all luxury made of soft and plush textures that covered the floors in over sized pillows and walls in cascading curtains. Rich golds, reds and browns set a relaxing tone. It smelled like an exotic spice market, a shrine near the entrance holding some lit incense. Track lighting illuminated glass cases around the room that highlighted her finds that she kept. She lowered herself onto the largest pillow in the corner of the room and closed her eyes..”Maybe this Ponyville thing will work out after all..” she said talking to herself again as she drifted off to sleep.
