||| INKIE PIE |||
The very rare instance of an actual smile!
#Name; Inkalynne "Inkie" Alice Pie
#Age Group ; Teen
#Gender ; Mare
#Species; Earth Pony
#Cutie Mark ;
#Occupation ; Finishing up her final years of school, but dabbles a bit in acting. (and helping out Pinkie when she can, of course)
#Powers and Abilities ; Inkie's talent is tragedy, it lies in the sad things of the world, to help people appreciate the good things. This gives her an affinity for drama and acting, especially for the sad, tragic roles. Unfortunately, this also makes her a big downer, and a tendency to bring others down with her.
#Physique ; Inkie has a fairly average physique, but working those extra years on the rock farm have helped burn off most of her bodyfat, leaving her a bit more on the slender, especially when compared to her sweet-loving older sister.
#Mane and fur color and style ; All "inky" grey, with a slightly darker gray mane
#Eye color ; Deep Purple
#A more thorough description (optional) ; Inkie seems to exude her usual dreary, dismal personality. Aside from her purple eyes and her cutie mark, she's completely devoid of any real color, just varying shades of grey. Her mane always hangs straight and lifeless, always covering one of her eyes. Her mouth is stuck in a near-permanant frown, and she often walks with her head, low, dragging her hooves as if she dreads every step.
#Personality ;
There’s no better way of putting this, but Inkie is almost the exact opposite of her older sister. Where Pinkie sees the glass half full, Inkie sees someone that drank half of her glass. She always sees the worst possible outlook of a situation, and is often one to give up before anything even starts. In her life, Pinkie has been the only person to ever get her to smile, and even then, she’s had to try pretty hard. However, despite her constant sad demeanor, she seems to appreciate the bad things in life. In a bit of flawed martyr logic, she tends to think that every bit of sadness she feels is some that nopony else has to feel.
Despite the fact that everything about her is negative, she still has this somewhat lovable nature about her. She’s always willing to help, even though she might explain every possible thing that could go wrong while she helps.
However, she does share one major personality trait with her sister, the previous all described her on a normal day. If she gets especially sad, upset, angry or stressed, she’ll have an insecure mental breakdown, often an outrageous stretch of her personality to extremes.
#History ;
Inkie grew up on the family Rock farm with her two sisters, Pinkie and Blinkie. As the middle child, things were always harder for her. Too young for this, but too old for that. All she’s ever known is working on the rock farm, a dreary sad life with no happiness, no smiles, just work on the farm with the family. Not many people understand how rocks can even be farmed!
Inkie, her sisters, never once smiled in their lives, all they knew was work. That was, until the day Pinkie stayed a bit longer in the fields, and was hit with a rainbow-filled epiphany. That day, she threw a party, and it was the first time Inkie ever smiled. It was the first time she was ever truly happy.
For a while, things were much better. Work on the farm was much easier with Pinkie keeping things lighthearted and happy. Inkie would oftentimes start feeling down after a long day in the fields... but returning to spend time with her sisters, especially Pinkie, made it all worthwhile.
But then the day came that Pinke left for Ponyville, and Inkie smiled for the last time. Any laughter that Pinkie brought was replaced with sobbing from missing her. Inkie was worse than she ever was, going from accepted sadness to depression. She was able to find some proper distractions though. She found an old book of plays, and started to read. After a while, she started to recite, and before long, she was out in the fields, reciting tragic monologues as she tended to the rocks, using them as props and occasionally characters.
It was clear that she found her passion when she finally got the courage to try and perform in an actual play, and her cutie mark appeared. Even then, she didn't smile, she just took it all in with a relatively content nod. As time passed, her old especially-downer moods began to set in. Finally, at the urging of the rest of her family, she decided to move to ponyville to be with the only pony that could ever bring a smile to her face, and to hopefully try her hoof as an actress. Naturally, she doesn't have high hopes, but is at least willing to try.The Roleplayer's Corner

#Sample RP ;
It was a long walk to Ponyville. Plenty of time to think, and to lose oneself in her thoughts. The greyscale middle child of the Pie family was completely lost in hers. She couldn't believe she was leaving home for the first time. But instead of excitement, her heart was full of anxiety and apprehension.
After all, she hadn't seen Pinkie in so long, maybe living in Ponyville had changed her? Or worse, what if her family encouraged her to move to Ponyville in hopes that she would be the one who would change. Not that she would blame them. She was very aware of her dismal attitude...
The sight of a huge apple orchard on her left briefly distracted her from her thoughts. She vaguely remembered Pinkie mentioning a big farm in one of her letters... She continued along the long dirt road, and realized that she was reaching the outskirts of Ponyville. As if the geography itself wanted to confirm this thought, she reached the top of a small hill, and was rewarded with a breathtaking view of the town below, sprawled out nicely before her.
She looked it over with a sigh. She didn't see the breathtaking scenery, she just saw predictions of horrible things that could go wrong, and reasons that this could all be mistake, that her mind crafted just for her. A small crackling boom of a stormcloud sounded overhead, and rain immediately began to pour down, drenching her to the bone within seconds, and soaked the single bag she carried in her mouth. All around her was completely dry.
She dropped the bag to glance up with an unamused eyebrow quirked. Over her, a pegasus was already pushing the cloud away, spouting out a stream of flustered apologies, explaining that the cloud had run off and that she didn't even see anypony down there. Inkie merely responded with a sigh. "It's fine... If it happened to anypony, it figures it would be me..." She picked the bag back up and continued her long trudge into ponyville, and straight to Sugarcube Corner. All the while, she murmured to herself some of her favorite monologues.
