Her bag also has some small emeralds on it, though they aren’t nearly as valuable.
Her body, over all, is rather stocky, but seems to be mostly muscle, especially around her neck, where the muscles and veins are easily visible. Her tiny ears stick up on their own, and are angled slightly back when in a neutral position.
#Personality ;
Pitunia is rather well spoken for a Diamond Dog, being the daughter of the leader a pack that has control of an entire mountain, for most of her life she’s been more than a bit privileged, enjoying large piles of gems being set at her feet. Her pampered life style isn’t quite up to pony standards though, making her rather easy to please and impress. The biggest difficulty most face when dealing with her is that she seems to think her opinion counts for a lot more than it actually does. She also tends to be rather pushy with her usually simple requests.
Her temperament is surprisingly steady and she can stand long periods of rudeness and annoyance before snapping, even she does her best not to resort to violence unless it is started. This is thanks to her rather bureaucratic upbringing an environment that also has made her a bit underhanded, for instance, she’s helped stop quite a few would be challengers by swapping their gems for ones with a flaw or two.
Other than these excursions, Pitunia has spent a lot of her life reading, her father, a decently knowledgeable dog gets most of his power from the large amount of gems that he dug for himself added to the heap of gems passed down through the family. Even his own digging technique is passed down and has been taught to his son. Pitunia, however, has taken on the task of learning better ways of leadership and where to find gems based not only on instinct, but with science. This studying has led her to have a heavy appreciation for the culture of ponies and also led her to demand the term ‘princess’ be used in reference to her.
Of course, it wouldn’t have caught on without her using her physique to back up her demands with intimidation and, if need be violence. The same can be said of why the packs, begrudgingly, have let her leave without any repercussions. Now she travels the wonderous world of Equestria with a sack full of valuable gems, buying many things, then sending them to The Pack. This goes double for books as she is making a library for the entire ‘city.’
#History ;
Pitunia lives in a rather complex multipack cave system within a large mountain that is still actively growing. This means that the ground the caves of the multitude of packs is built in, first of all, is almost entirely made of bedrock and second of all, is filled with gems coming from igneous rock. Her father, when he was very young, was able to become the leader of this mountain and unite several packs under his rule thanks to the continued efforts of several generations of Diamond Dogs and a surprising amount of stealthiness while doing so.
Pitunia was born as the soon to be inheritor of all of this, once she proves she deserves it. The ‘plan’ calls for her brother to become leader of the mountain. She plans on running that fully. Though she isn’t as strong or as imposing a figure as her brother, she is a lot smarter, having given herself to learning things through the input of text, then experiencing the results herself while her brother has been thrust into leadership role after leadership role by her father.
As a pup she and her brother were raised the same, but it became obvious by the time they could dig that he was the favorite. His larger frame, led to faster digging and made him much more adept at collecting the gems of their dear mountain. She was quickly thrust into the background and given the job of ‘support’ in hopes further their line’s leadership of the mountain. Even as a pup she resented this, didn’t find it fair and privately vowed she would change it...well, as much of a vow that a small child can make.
As they ended their toddler years Pitunia was given a book by her father and told that the best way she could help the pack was by learning about them and how they worked. With the help of the few pack members that could read. Unlike them, she was learning as a child and therefor learned quickly and soon surpassed her teachers and was always on her dad’s heels about getting new books for her dismally limited library, half of which were foal’s tales and the other half filled with outdated pony digging. After enough begging he always, eventually relented and got her a new book. One such book was about the leader of Equestria. It didn’t have any pictures but it said she were renowned for great power and leadership. Pitunia was soon enamored with this ‘Celestia’ and wanted to learn more…unfortunately this was the last book about them she obtained.
The rest were about a variety of subjects. Some were fictional books. They never the first though, always the third or sixth. Others were almanacs, dictionaries and thesauruses. Her favorite were history books, telling the past and how problems had been solved, the founding of Equestrian, The reign of Nightmare Moon(ending right before her banishment by Celestia, boy that was a disappointment). Of course, a few fictional books she had weren’t marked fiction and made their way into the ‘history’ pile and a few vice versa…but anything that had even tangential mentions of Celestia was instantly put in the favorites pile.
As she aged she had a growing feeling, one that said that the best way to learn more would be to leave the den and experience it herself, to meet Celestia and learn directly from her! To find guards and see how they fought and to learn how to usurp her brother, who by that point had become a confident leader. He was effective, but quite arrogant and their father was beginning to grow old. If she didn’t leave soon, it would be too late! She approached her father, and several of his makeshift council and using a mixture of well-placed arguments, gems and intimidation, was able to convince them that the travels were for the good of the pack.
She lacks her brother’s real life experience but plans on getting much more valuable experiences and expanding diamond dog influence to above the ground through the travels she has just begun. So far she has only visited small towns of limited scope, but she plans on entering several large cities as soon as she reaches them! Of course…having a map would help!!

#Sample RP ;
Pitunia stepped into Ponyville. It was, by far, the largest town she had entered yet. It was also the most vibrant, having approached from the South meant a lot of desert which was a lot of red and brown, but not much else. There had been one small town, Apple-something and it had wonderful food but it didn’t have what she needed most: a multitude of books. She had heard this town had it’s own entire library though, she would need to visit that. First she had to explore though. She was finally deep enough in the country to see a real, normal, pony town. It was a little overwhelming. She had seen it in Appleoosa, but that had all been sand, ponies really did live entirely above ground everywhere!
Amazing!
Now to find somewhere to sleep and then onto the library!
