Rumble is an enthusiastic young foal with a thirst for adventure seconded only by his love for his brother. The young Pegasus looks up to his older brother Thunderlane as if he were the coolest thing to happen to Pegasus kind since wings. Rainbow who? The Wonderwhat? As far as he's concerned, all other Pegasi are competing for second best. His opinion of his brother has lead to a few arguments with other ponies such as die-hard members of Rainbow Dash's fan club. Nothing physical has ever broken out, but there have been a marathon session or two of going back and forth between ya-huh and nuh-uh.
Rumble has the nickname of being Thunderlane's shadow due to the fact that he tries to tag along with his brother at any chance he gets. It saddens him a little that he can't fly as far or as fast as his brother, and isn't always allowed to follow him some places, but he still tries. The young Pegasus practices his flying every day, and has made a hobby out of cloud surfing. One of the big perks about hanging out with his big brother is the attention. Rumble has gotten to the phase of noticing girls exist, and that they find him adorable. Some ponies might take their little brother out to go meet girls, Rumble does the opposite and instead uses his big brother to go meet girls.
Aside from that Rumble is in a big hurry to grow up. He wants to be able to hang out with the older ponies and have the epic adventures they do. He doesn't want to be called Thunderlane's little brother anymore, he wants to just be known as his brother. Its a desire that makes Rumble give his all into something when he puts his mind to it. Except homework. He does well in the class room, but homework always seems to get forgotten or lost once he leaves the schoolhouse. As soon as he's out the door it turns to playtime.
#History ;
Rumble was born and raised in Ponyville with two loving parents, and the coolest older brother ever. He grew up looking up to his older brother, following him around as soon as he was able to move. It didn't take a long time for him to become known as Thunderlane's shadow. He was so attached to his older brother that the first day of school was a bad experience for him. The first week of school was filled with various escape attempts, all of them failed, but he had still tried. Rumble has long since grown out of that phase, and enjoys school.
School has become a good thing for Rumble, a thing to look forward to going to. He gets to learn all sorts of neat things from Miss Cheerilee, and has made all sorts of new friends there. He even got his idea for cloud surfing from Scootaloo's scooter. If Scootaloo could do all those tricks with a scooter on the ground, why couldn't it be done with a cloud in the sky? Riding on a small cloud let him fly higher and farther than he previously could on his own. All he had to do was make sure he didn't fall off.
Rumble was preseant when it was Ponyville's turn to bring water up to Cloudsdale. He trained as hard as he could to get his wingpower up to help, and harder still when his brother had to go to the hospital for the feather-flu. When the big day came he had been a bundle of nerves. Not only had Thunderlane worked so hard he got sick, other ponies got sick too! When the time came, Rumble joined the other Pegasi to add his miniscule wingpower to everypony else's. He had less to contribute than Fluttershy, but every little bit helped! He even got to wear his new flight goggles to the ordeal!
As everypony knows, the first attempt went less than ideal. The tornado became unstable, broke apart, and Pegasi were sent flying everywhere. Rumble had been thrown so far that he landed on the outskirts of the town. By the time he had gotten back to the resevoir everypony had tried again and suceeded in moving the water without him. Even worse, Spitfire had left. In the end he didn't help at all, and missed out on getting to meet one of the Wonderbolts.The Roleplayer's Corner

A tiny cloud raced just above the rooftops of Ponyville, just high enough to not to scrape against anything, but low enough that it still had to dodge weather vanes. Rumble's wings were a blurr as he pushed his tiny cloud as fast as he could. The cloud was just big enough for him to crouch down on, he kept his head low and forward to reduce wind resistance, but he wasn't getting to top speed, and the clock kept ticking! The young colt even laid his ears against his skull to try and make up for his cargo.
Not only did Rumble have on fully packed saddlebags, but he even had three paper bags held in his teeth. One was a sack lunch that his mom had made for him, the others were something he had picked up by himself at Sugarcube Corner. Usually he was early for school, but instead of going straight there he had taken a detour. He had gotten himself a snack to eat at school so he could have a bigger lunch, or potentially something to trade for, and a hot bear claw for Miss Cheerilee. It was getting colder and colder in the mornings, and he thought she might appreciate something warm instead of an apple or something else the other kids might give her. It wasn't like he had a crush on his teacher or anything, even if she was really pretty n stuff.
"Almost there!" he exclaimed when the red schoolhouse came into sight, or rather tried to exclaim. Its hard to talk while carrying three bags in your mouth! Rumble rapidly approached the school, going as fast as he could to avoid being tardy. Once the door closed it meant that he'd be late! In his frenzy to not get in trouble for being late one thing slipped the foal's mind: the distance he'd need to stop. When he finally realized that he needed to slow down, it was too late. The cloud poofed into nothingness when it crashed into the ground, and he went bouncing tail over teakettle through the front door.
Rumble opened his eyes once he was certain he had come to a stop, and his ears perked up when he heard the school bell. He was on his back, and he knew ponies were looking at him, but that didn't matter. He wasn't late, and he hadn't dropped the baked good he had gotten for Miss Cheerilee. "Nailed it!"
